💥 - if you’re comfortable, have you ever “broken out” of a dream? have you ever been aware of the past outcomes of a repeating dream while you were still in it?
dream question, nice. if i’ve ever “broken out” of a dream it’s only bc shit so bizarre was going on i’d be like, ok, this def ain’t real, usually waking up soon after the initial realization
i don’t really have repeating dreams so much as repeated themes. in a lot of my dreams i’m fleeing from something; be it a larger than average centipede, a giant flying demon eye, the police, predatory marine life, other people participating in a high-stakes rollerskating derby inside of a mega-mall’s grocery section, a horde of venomous spiders, a horde of flesh-eating scarabs, a horde of zombies, through a maze of windowless interconnected rooms slowly filling up with sand, or donald duck brandishing a knife.
yeah i have some totally wack dreams. i’m definitely not aware of any past outcomes of any of em. another common theme, tho, is searching for something! what that something is, i just don’t know. i never find whatever it is, i’m always just looking at everything and rummaging through shit to grasp at fuck knows what. what are you trying to say about me, subconscious? that i’m running away in search of something i can’t even properly fathom? cool, please stop that!!

uhhh alright what else inspires me... making fun things for others. i love to prioritize stuff that’d make ppl smile, like presents or dumb meme shit. if i can somehow forcibly inject the tiniest bit of serotonin into some sad nerd’s brain with my silly drawings then i’ve done good as a human being i think
i said grey before but pyro recently assigned me purple and a dope dark teal and i dig those colours immensely!
🧭 - where is home to you? is it a person, a place, or just a feeling? what makes you feel like you are at home?
i remember saying i was “pretty rooted” in a different ask meme about travel but i only meant that in the sense that i’ve never lived outside of my province. i think my parents moved around 4-5 times while i was with them; i moved 4 times on my own and i’m about to start on my 5th!! so, uh, home is wherever i hang my hat
it’s a feeling, for sure. could happen anywhere that gives off a sense of respite, of safety, of wholeness or identity. laughing at a bad movie on a friend’s couch feels homely to me. there’s a beach in biking distance from my parents’ place that i used to visit often, and the smell of the sea on that rock-strewn stretch of sand brings back such fond, familiar memories. home’s when my favourite coworker invites me out to dinner after a tiring shift and we take turns complaining about it. it’s reading a kind or funny comment that makes my day a little brighter. it’s letting someone in on a secret. home is when i’m chillin and everything feels sort of alright, if only for a little while
