5. has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

i read a wolfstar fic that i can't even remember the name of and that it ruined wolfstar for me for a long time because the characterisations were atrocious and i tried to push through it because the writing was amazing... bad idea

and there was this drarry fic that shall remain nameless (i have the name burned in my mind) that made me stop reading anything drarry for like three months. it was beautifully written as well but harry had an... accident of sorts and i'm not joking, the aftermath was so horrible it gave me nightmares (it starts with an h and ends with an s, a single word, if anyone knows it i hope it didn't fuck you up)

19. what is the one thing you hate most about your fandom?

how some people accept a hc from a popular fic (for example atyd) and expect the rest of us to adhere to it, it just rubs me the wrong way

i love lily (well-written lily) with any of the girls, she goes amazing with any of them, but lily and pandora? that's my shit right there

yay an easy word! here's a snippet I chose from one of Damian's many flashback scenes in CUCKOO CUCULIDAE. Context: Damian is training his voice mimicry at 7.

"It doesn't have to be like this, you can be kind. Kinder than anyone else." She says. "It doesn't have to be like this, you can be kind. Kinder than anyone else." Damian repeats. He has her tone and cadence down. Perfect. Hope blooms in his chest. He finally did it! Safiya's face crumples. The hope dies. Did he get something wrong? He was certain that her voice was easy for him to mimic.

I love Emma. I love the Cuckoos. My appreciation for these characters grew independent of the fact that they also just happen to be related to each other since I find the Cuckoos to be such fascinating characters in their own right and I’m glad that they got some development so that they managed to have their own personalities as well now. 

But anyone who knows me also knows my extreme love for broken relationships between parents and their children and god, Emma and her little clone daughters have such a complicated and messy history. Compounded by the fact that the origin of their relationship was so bad people rugswept it and then ignored this facet of their relationship for years since Warsong was so horrendous and embarrassing. 

I have a lot of issues with Bendis ( I am assuming this is him ), but the fact that he did try to write Emma separate from Scott and tried to develop this relationship between the Cuckoos is almost enough for a draw for me to take a look at his run.
