Why Cuddling a Pillow Doesn't Quite Cut It

I don't care if it's the softest pillow in the world. I just know that it will never feel as good as it will when his arms are finally around me, keeping me safe and sound.

Every single night before I fall asleep I imagine his arms tight around my frame. God I bet it will feel so good and to be honest it's not fair that the frickn' Atlantic Ocean enjoys keeping that from happening. 

So what I normally do is cuddle up to a pillow at night and pretend it's him. In fact when I woke up today I found that I was still cuddling it. Clearly I'll be pretty good at the whole night cuddles. Hopefully.

But it's just a pillow. It's not him. It probably isn't as warm as he is and I know it doesn't smell like him.

And then I'll spend a good portion of my day thinking about cuddling him. Because cuddling him would mean I'm right next to him. I can't even describe how happy that would make me. All I know is that when we finally meet I'll be a big sappy mess... And he'll probably take a few steps back.

I'm kidding. Knowing my Dutch boy he'd pull me into him and gently stroke my hair as I ball my eyes out with happy tears into his chest. You're welcome for that imagery.

But for now, I suppose cuddling up to my cheetah print pillow with stuff falling out of the side will have to suffice.
