My husband does most of the cooking in our house and is very choosy about his spatulas. He has tossed out more than I can count because he did not like their performance. I got him this spatula and he loves it. It has a silicone covered turner, longer stainless steel bar leading to a silicone covered handle. This has a very nice weight to it and it is very sturdy. I actually got to use it first when I made a big batch of scrambled eggs the other night and it worked great for me. Last night when my husband was making dinner (it was hamburger night) he was impressed that the handle was long enough that he did not have to worry about getting popped with hot grease. He used it this morning making fried eggs and was very happy at how well he was able to turn the eggs without popping them. Here is a small amount of silicone at the end of the spatula without the stainless steel in it, and this is what he attributed to being able to get under the eggs very easily. It's also very east to clean. I'm pretty sure that this spatula will be used every time my hubby fries food.
