For the ask: Ham/Eliza, #2
(#2 holy shit i finallyfound something i’m better in than you.)
“Oh,” Eliza gasps, herhand coming up to cover her mouth. She sounds awed, but also like she’s tryingexceptionally hard not to laugh. “Oh, Alex, what did you do?”
This time she doeslaugh, and Alexander wants to be upset (he really does), but she tosses herhead back and her nose scrunches up and she’s just so damn cute in heroven mitts and apron, he can’t find it in him to glare at her.
So he settles forpouting instead.
“I can’t believe Peggytalked me into taking culinary.“
He looks down andgrimaces at the station he shares with Peggy. Bright pink goo – their failed attemptat a smoothie – decorates the countertop and coats the walls, all because someonedidn’t put the lid on the blender tight enough.
And, okay, that someone mighthave been Alex, but what difference does it make? Their station is a messand, on the other side of the classroom, Eliza’s looks absolutely pristine– a series of glasses filled to the brim with strawberry smoothie are set outneatly across the table, no mess in sight. When she catches Alex staring,Angelica, Eliza’s culinary partner for the semester, flashes him a smug smirk.Alex, very maturely, sticks his tongue out in response.
His attention returns toEliza when her thumb swipes against his cheekbone. “You’ve got smoothie on yourface,” she informs him matter-of-factly, and an amused smile dances across herlips at the aghast noise Alex makes.
“What?” He whirls around, his expression morphing intoone of betrayal as his gaze searches the classroom. “Peggy,” he gripes when hespots her at the sink. “You said I got it all off!”
The youngest Schuyler’scackles can be heard from across the room, where she’s busy scrubbing a brightpink smoothie stain out of her shirt, and Alex lets out an exaggerated sigh.
“There goes my grade forthe semester,” he moans forlornly.
“Hey, there’ll be plentyof other assignments. And look on the bright side.” Alex turns back around atthe sound of Eliza’s voice, flashing her a dubious look when her smile widens. She leans forward and pecks a kiss to the tip of his nose. “I finally foundsomething I’m better in than you.”
