OMG so I’ve had this head canon for 2 years for my Dria Cousland and Cullen but could never get it down. It’s 7 sentences, but I’m a rebel.: Cullen hated being a curiosity. Ever since he’d been rescued from the blood mages he had become just that. Mages no longer spoke to him as he watched over them. The once approachable Templar now had a glare, watching them like a mabari for any signs of the slightest indiscretions. Since his return to active duty he’d caught several mages in compromising positions behind the stacks of the library. He knew now that not a single one of them could be trusted. The idea that he’d once been naive enough to have a crush on the Amell girl disgusted him. He saw now, that these mages were not people and shouldn’t be treated as such. They were vicious monsters waiting for a chance to attack.

From Chapter 12 of Imperfect Timing. The reunion of Cullen and Dria (the Hero of Ferelden) after 10 years goes really well:
They both looked up as one of the doors to the Commander’s office slammed open. The Hero stumbled in, clearly drunk. She looked around, as if unsure where she was.
Cullen walked around his desk towards her, “Hero,” he felt he’d probably lost the right to use her name at this point. “Can I help-”
He was interrupted by what smelled like paint stripper being thrown in his face.
“Fuck you,” she yelled at him. “You fucking...I loved you, you asshole. I trusted you. I fucking loved you and you called me a whore. I hate you.”
It was at that point that Hawke came running in clearly out of breath. The rogue took one look at Cullen’s face dripping with Maraas Lok and smirked. “Oh good. I’d worried she was going to do something embarrassing.”
