the summer hikaru died is gonna end with freshly divorced Tsujinaka Toshinori cutting down the Cuntree, to represent the end of internalized homophobia/heteronormativity in the village (making Yoshiki’s grandpa’s line about the Tsujinaka men protecting the woods make more sense)
just joking around but real talk i hope he and Yoshiki’s mom finally had that talk and he comes out to her and they co-parent the kids amicably (or at least Kaoru, if Yoshiki ends up moving out/faking his death/becoming an entity in the other side)
(if the reason Yoshiki’s mom is late isn’t that impurities/the company did something to his family)
