This is such bull. I’m tired. Stop the disrespect on Glenn’s character!
I’m gonna flip table if Glenn is the victim. Because it’s sooo stupid to kill him off, when almost nobody got their comics fate :///
Hey this is forevermichonne! Seriously you are immensely talented! I have to go back and read your other writing. <3 I legit tear up and have to take a moment reading it because every sentence has so much weight and intention. Your imagery is so on point, to both their physical movements but conveying those same feelings that are going on in the heads of the characters and wow. Just wow. Beautiful job!
your support is everything. :’) i am sincerely touched by it. you are beyond kind and i am just overwhelmed by how much you love this (i absolutely love you for it!) i do feel more comfortable writing michonne, which i think shows, so i don’t completely hate chapter two. i wasn’t sure about writing a multi chapter story but the response from you lovely richonners is incredible. *sweats as i desperately try and not let you all down*
much love! xx
Hello! I recently got the opportunity to go to Kookmin University in Seoul and I was wondering if you've heard anything about it's reputation, or had any advice for an exchange student coming to Seoul for the first time? I really do appreciate all of the useful information on your blog!
Greetings! I like your blog name and your super smiley avatar~!
I honestly know very little about Kookmin University other than that it’s quite close to mine and I’ve met a lot of Korean current students and graduates here and there. Although a lot of the Koreans I know who attend/attended there are not so proud of it (simply because it’s not a SKY university, which I think is BS in my opinion, but that’s a cultural thing and I won’t get into that) Kookmin seems like a really good school. In my honest opinion I think most universities in Korea are pretty good since the standard for education is so high here, and a school that prides itself in its unique student exchange program is definitely something to be proud of! :-) I think you will get along just fine there~
For students coming to Korea for the first time (maybe I should write a whole separate page about this kind of stuff) I recommend this:
prepare yourself to be disappointed, annoyed, confused, and homesick
Living in a different country and being thrown head first into a foreign culture and lifestyle can be pretty stressful. And although I know most foreign exchange student programs are not so strict about student grading standards, trying to keep up with school and maintain your sanity among all the stimulation and differences and language barrier issues is a huge stress on a person’s mentality. You might come to Korea with certain expectations or some kind of ideal fantasy based on pop culture or other blogger’s encounters, which itself is not a bad thing at all, but if things don’t turn out the way you expected, accept that and try to be open-minded and understanding. It will make things easier for you, I promise!
Seoul is a sensually stimulating experience. What I mean is that it’s a hustling and bustling huge metropolis filled with people moving here and there engrossed in their personal lives - it exhibits an astounding and overwhelming sense of modernity with heavy traditional roots. There is noise, neon lights, electronics and music and signs everywhere. It’s awesome! But can also be exhausting at times. Before coming here, if you haven’t already, try to get yourself learning some basic Korean - learn the alphabet and pronunciation so that you can at least read words and signs. If you can, maybe see if there is a facebook group for exchange students at Kookmin or get involved with a penpal/language exchange program so that you will have a Korean friend you can meet when you get here. Learn the exchange rate so you can get used to planning your budget so you don’t suddenly find yourself with no more money before your allowance is up. If you get to spend a year here, after 6 months I encourage you try to find a part-time job to get some extra pocket money and also learn some new skills!
Don’t be afraid to ask questions or ask people for help. If you lock yourself away in your dorm and avoid social situations your experience abroad will be quite miserable and more stressful. On the flip side, try to make the best of your time here and explore often, but don’t be stupid like me (>.<) and fail all your classes or get involved with the wrong kind of people.
mainly the key is just come with an open mind and a willingness to learn and try new things. ^_^
Feel free to ask me any further questions and good luck!
