it occured to me that the devil in cuphead REALLY IS "the fallen angel" with daddy issues and from the first episode in s3 alone you see him starting to crack into that sentimental and relatably pathetic side
and when he gets treated like a cat by elder kettle (and literally shapeshifts into those exact mannerisms) he's receiving the familial bond he never got 😭 (?!?!?)
its hilarious and bittersweet, it really was just a humorously wholesome episode
