as someone who has been a lurker in this fandom for 8+ years, I feel like the fandom has (sadly) significantly changed with their attitude towards annabeth. it's like the only thing people have to say about her nowadays is some negative bullshit claiming that shes toxic/abusive/manipulative because of x y and z, yet when other characters like luke, nico, ethan, or even percy do some wrong shit they get a pass??? does this ever affect you? im seriously considering cold turkeying this fandom :/

as the years go by, the fandom rightfully gets more critical of the content they consume because a lot of shit the author wrote into his books needs to be called out. there’s just no excuses for things like racism, stereotyping, ableism, fatphobia, etc. however at some point, people surpass the threshold of “critical” and end up just being stupid (like the whole nicknames are abusive thing) and doing more harm than good. there’s a line to be drawn and people need to understand what qualifies as an issue like abuse before labeling trivial things with a serious, heavy word. especially when those same people look to actual manipulators/abusers/etc and romanticize them, what with the whole l*k*rcy situation (which is disgusting for a number of obvious reasons). people romanticizing characters and relationships like that are so hypocritical, it’s absurd. not to mention the same people that disparage annabeth for calling him “seaweed brain” are the ones that write sm*t between a minor and a 22 year old so...their opinions clearly aren’t very well-founded or educated. ultimately, some people really need to reevaluate the things the say and the stands they take. as far as people’s opinion of annabeth goes, it’s totally fine to not like a character, as long as people don’t mislabel them with serious words like “abusive” that carry heavy implications. if you love her, fine. if you hate her, also fine. everyone’s entitled to their own opinions. i think if you just follow the accounts that share your opinions and block/avoid accounts that oppose your opinions, it’s pretty easy to find a community of people that create content you can enjoy without feeling like you want to leave the fandom. if you do, however, no one blames you. as i’ve seen this past week, fandom can be really toxic lol.

For Kirby’s 25th anniversary I’ll start uploading these phylogenetic trees of life in Popstar I’ve been working on, these take way longer than I thought but I love the results!! Happy Birthday Kirby! Thank u for everything! You’ve enriched my life in ways too beautiful!

The descriptions and names for each family and species is under the read more, I wrote some fun pokedex-like entries :>

Indistinctoidea 

This order of popstarian life is part of the Mollistosoma clade, informally known as “Squishy Boys”. Indistinctoidea itself is characterized by having undifferentiated limbs (no specified structures from the rest of the body). They are further divided into two main groups: Asteromorpha and Languidumorpha.

Asteromorpha

They are characterized by having a star-like body plan, presenting 5 extensions throughout their bodies, two forelimbs, two hindlimbs and one cephalic protuberance. The manner in which this cephalic protuberance grows is what further divides this group, into Unicuspida and Odontocuspida.

Unicuspida

Cuppie (Cingopterus cupidae) : Commonly known as Cuppie, C. cupidae hovers throughout popstar shooting down other creatures with their arrows in a very elegant arc-like fashion. They seem to do this only for fun.

Snooter (Comedostoma furia) : The mouth of a Snooter has specialized in such a way that their eyesight is severely hindered due to all the space their lips take in the face. Perhaps that’s why they get so angry when you bump into them, they can’t see you coming through those reduced eyes.

Odontocuspida

Prank (Renideo ludus) : R. ludus individuals have shown impressive crafting abilities, they are able to build all kinds of booby traps out of stuff they find in the ground or is given to them by their friends. All this ability i used solely for entertainment purposes.

Starman (Transilio aster) :  T. aster are usually found in pairs, this is because they know you may bump into one of them too hard, and they don’t want you to lose your chance at soaring the skies like them. It seems the purpose of these creatures is to share as much as possible the experience of temporary flight.

Languidumorpha

Languidumorpha has very few extant representatives, their low-to-the-ground body plan doesn’t seem to proof much effective in most environments. The only two remaining species are fairly separate from each other, but both have come up with astonishing adaptations to counter or make use of their morphological characteristics.

Hemiasterida 

Droppy (Mimus polymorpha) : One single Droppy can shapeshift both superficially and functionally into at least 20 different species. The nature of this ability is still under study, but it’s certain it has to do with a highly flexible nucleic acid, similar to DNA, but made with Arabinose instead of Ribose, this gives a soft pink hue to their transformations.

Clivumida

Minny (Vitus minuscula) : V. minuscula, despite their physiology disposed for creeping, is capable of achieving extreme speeds, specially for their size. This allows them to retreat very fast into a small crevice where they won’t be seen by others, usually after they get embarrassed by something.

August Bitties

Cuppie (Deltarune Cuptain) Despite being only half an inch tall at most, Cuppie bitties are known for their determination. They can and will climb just about anything if a Mory bitty is resting there, though they will often ignore those who prefer to stay on ground level. It's highly advised for an adopter or at least for other bitties to keep an eye on them lest they get injured in their enthusiasm for climbing things to reach their goals, and occasionally they will wind up getting soaked by an annoyed Mory who's had their naptime disrupted. Cuppies can come in a variety of different colors, the most common being red, and they like to adorn themselves with feathers or other little decorations to set themselves apart from other Cuppies. When knocked over or bumped into, they make a sound almost like a cat meowing which will summon other Cuppies to their aid if any are present. Cuppies can have themselves filled with food or liquid which they will slowly consume over the course of the day.

Mory (Deltarune Mizzle) These water spirits are affectionate bitties that can be slow to act. They are often easy to confuse and amuse if one tries to dazzle them with an impressive trick. They also enjoy liquid-based puns and have been known to pile up in water coolers to take their naps in peace. Mory types can be very light sleepers, though, so if one desires to adopt a Mory bitty they will need a quiet space (preferably a soundproof one) where the bitty or bitties in question can doze properly. It is also advised that one keeps any bitties with a penchant for thievery away from Morys as it's not unusual for Morys to not realize that they have been stolen from due to drowsiness. They are capable of eating but often do not need to do so, instead preferring to consume water or other fluids depending on what liquid makes up their body. Morys can come in a number of different flavors; the most common is water, but others such as soda pop, fruit punch, lemonade, and even alcoholic variants exist.

Sonny (Deltarune Lanino) Sonny bitties have a head shape resembling the moon and fluffy white hair atop their heads. Like Cloudette types, they have a fondness for meteorology and are generally considered quite handsome, but somewhat oblivious as they often mistake other bitties for their respective Cloudette. Sonny types are also romantic, though they do occasionally fall victim to their own ego especially when chosen over and over again for something or told that their weather manipulation is better than that of others. It's not unusual for such things to go to their heads. They are capable of using sunlight and moonlight-based attacks as well as increasing temperatures, sometimes drastically so. Their favorite foods tend towards spicy foods such as curry or buffalo chicken, though they have been known to eat microwaved TV dinners with red chili flakes. Sonny bitties typically identify as male and use he/him pronouns, though there are exceptions.

Cloudette (Deltarune Elnina) Characterized by their puffy white cloud hair and pigtails, Cloudettes have a fascination with meteorology. They're also somewhat of a hopeless romantic and tends to get highly emotional (some might even say melodramatic) whenever they get upset, both of which are traits they share with their respective Sonny partners. They do not do well alone, but are quite happy to share space with fellow weather-themed bitties. Cloudettes are able to make it rain or snow if they so desire, but are generally happy with any kind of weather and enjoy making games out of predicting what sort of weather will be occurring the next day. They have an unusual habit of sneezing in the middle of crying, but this can be chalked up to the fact that the more upset they are the colder they get. Their favorite foods tend towards icy treats such as sorbet or gelato, though they have also been known to eat frozen TV dinners without issue. Cloudette bitties typically identify as female and use she/her pronouns, though there are exceptions.

ohhhh. i dont know what college is like yet so i am grateful to have my mutuals talk about The Horrors /hj /aff. anyways that really is ass actually. all i can offer is that you keep going and possibly become a) doofenshmirtz but Perry agrees that your lab PI should be turned into a bug or b) pull a House and invite them to give a presentation and humiliate and refute their claims in front of everyone. while be bisexual.

16. Can you drive?

Unfortunately,,,,,,,, no. Not yet. I technically should be able to, but when the Drivers Education was available for me last, I was legally blind! So no heavy machinery for me! Thankfully my eyes got fixed, but I still haven’t gotten around to actually learning yet. Free rides are nice :3

19. Imagine we’re at a sleepover, would you paint my nails?

If you wanted me to, yeah! I’d probably go with turquoise to match your miku pfp (and general aura), or your otherwise favorite color if I had it.
