As you may have seen on my stories, last Saturday I found the bottom half of a silk thread reel display free (yes, free) from the curb down our road. It would have been used in a department store years ago. It had no top as it was previously double the height and the owners kept the top half. It needs lots of work but all those tiny drawers with glass fronts are perfect for organising and storing my treasures when my new studio is built. Then, today I drove past the same house and there is a butchers block counter top on the curb outside the same house which I nabbed because it’ll also work in the studio as a table top for my polisher. Only, it also fits this cabinet top exactly. What are the chances?
