Curing the Cause || Knox x Liv
Her truck gave her a bit of trouble when she went to start it up, but once the engine turned, it made its usual growly noises and decided to live for another day. Which meant that a trip to the shop was probably going to be in order. Reflecting on that as she drove, Liv realized it had been a few months since it had been in, so was really probably overdue.
She hadn’t been at all sure what to bring with her. As far as she could tell the person she’d been communicating with wasn’t actually looking for a consultation, and if they were.... well, they’d get a verbal one rather than one with a demonstration.
The drive over was relatively short, and as she pulled in to the parking lot, Liv realized she didn’t actually know the name of the person she was to be meeting. She was right on time, but that really wasn’t going to help anything at all. She debated sending another text to this person, but could feel the butterflies starting to swirl in the pit of her stomach, and decided that probably wouldn’t be a very good idea for the health of her phone.
Sighing, she slid out of the truck and eyed the building before as she closed the door. The sign on the outside of the building proclaimed that it was one of the local branches of the Humane Society, though whether it was offices of actually housed animals was impossible to tell by the exterior alone.
Deciding there was nothing else for it, she put on a brave face and made a brave attempt at confidence as she entered the building. Not seeing anyone immediately in view she wandered over to what looked like a reception desk, eyes skimming along the upper portion of the wall for a security camera or two. The last thing she really wanted to do was let her emotions get the best of her and find herself responsible for someone’s security feed.
“Ehmm... hullo?” she asked after a moment. She didn’t want to hurry anyone, but the lack of human presence was starting to make her incredibly uncomfortable.
