Oh, here's Parker walking pretty casually into a haunted forest and approaching GK with less caution than most. He offers her a little stuffed corgi with a sheepish smile. "Happy Valentines! I'm, uh, wasn't sure if chocolate would be a proper gift, considering."

“A... A gift??”

She had NO clue what a “Valentines” was- but that was just the case with a lot on this planet, so that didn’t bother her any. The concept of a sudden gift definitely caught the ghost by surprise though, especially a gift that was so... Cute!

There was no doubt, Ghost Kid wasn’t a gentle, cautious, or particularly sweet individual- anything but, frankly. However she was... Somewhat careful, taking the plushie and hugging it a bit. Her smile was rather sweet, even if always hidden.

“Thanks, Parker... It’s really cute.”

Oh, what's this? It's a familiar little crow, hopping right over to Mu and reaching up to balance a little box of chocolates on the top of her head! "Happy Valentine's! Uh, I can't really eat these, but you can, right?"

As Parker got up so close, Mu couldn’t help but freeze. Sure, they’ve gotten close before, but it’s today-

She spaced out, just processing what’d happened.

“...!”

“O-oh!! Thanks, Parky-Park!”

She shook her head forward, and the box dropped into her hand.

The seemingly eternal blanket of night over Subcon forest only made the glow of it’s residents all the more ominous in the darkness. Dwellers, Minions, Fox spirits, the lost and contracted souls of an older time. 

But it wasn’t just the long dead residents of Subcon that were covered in the permanent shroud. A ghostly child skipped about, aside from eerie appearance, seeming pretty harmless. Like any other child might be when playing around, though the minions of the forest’s unseen boss seemed to be keeping a safe distance.

Granted, they might have just been avoiding the potential back-swing of the pitch black bat she was twirling around.

Ah. She has been assaulted. It is time to retaliate! Just reaching for the arrow, prying it off, and flinging it right back with equal, if not slightly more force than it was originally shot.

There was one particular thing that was special to Mu that she received from a certain barista living on her island: a little hand-painted mug bearing her real name. Although she never really had the funds to patronize his cafe “properly,” she was a frequent visitor of his once he opened up shop several years ago. 

When they first met, the deal was this: in exchange for conversation, she’d make her a drink and a snack. No matter how rough the day was, the young girl could always count on a fresh mug of his specialty hot chocolate, complete with his signature whipped cream on top waiting for her.

It was after months of her visiting that she realized that the mug with her treat wasn’t like the others she usually had... “For being his best customer,” he said.

...What’s left of it is in shards on the floor of a burned-down storefront.

What's this? A familiar little crow seems to have caught sight of the owl! He hops over, offering a polite little smile. "Hello Mr. Stan! How're you? It's, uh! Been a while!"

It wasn’t often that Stan heard his name with an honorific like that, much less from a younger voice. The second he realized it was Parker, however? He seemed more than pleased. Maybe he wasn’t so bad at socializing after all!

“Oh, hey, little man! It has, hasn’t it? Here t’catch a backstage look now?”
