[text]: any new book recommendations?

Cloud didn’t recognize this number at all. But whoever it was, was simply asking for new books to read and it wouldn’t hurt to reply right?

"That will be $11.56," he said, turning to look up at his current customer, "will that be all?" He asked to make sure that said customer was sure of their order. Once he had confirmation he turned away from the counter to grab the customer's now ready drink from the barista beside him to hand over, taking the offered money in exchange for the paper cup. He pressed a couple of keys on the computer screen and waited for the register to pop open so he could deposit the cash, pulling out a few bills for the customer's change. With the task completed, he turned to where they kept the baked goods, grabbing one of the muffins in a bag he held it out for the customer to take, "have a nice day," he said with a smile.

He let out a relieved sigh once said customer moved away from the counter, glad to see he'd been the last one in line for the time being. While most days they tended to be rather slow, there were the few days here and there that they'd end up getting a rush of people coming through for their caffeine and baked good needs. The day had been going by pretty quick he noted as he glanced at the time on the screen in front of him; he only had a few more hours left of his shift. Picking up one of the clean somewhat wet rags off to the side of the counter, he began to wipe up the somewhat sticky top to keep himself busy while the rush slowed down and the next customer walked in. He'd just finished his task when he'd glance up, making eye contact with a familiar blond, blue eyed female; a regular he'd often seen at the cafe.

”Give me a sec,” he said, turning away from the counter to drop the now dirty rag into it's bin before coming back to the counter to take her order, “what can I get for you?”
