Roommates - Cloud and Axel

Usually Cloud would stay in the dorms during the summer since he never did have enough money to rent an apartment with having to pay for college, but this past summer he took a much needed vacation and headed out to visit an old friend of his. 

He figured that when he came back to Twilight Town his roommate would have already been moved in, so he had to prepare himself to not make their first encounter awkward. 

Luckily most of his stuff had stayed in the dorms and when the roomchange had happened one of the RA’s had set up his stuff in his room already, or at least it was sitting in his room waiting for him to set it up. All he had with him was his suitcase.

As he unlocked the door, he took a deep breath hoping that there wasn’t a mess already as he was used to with past roommates. but seeing a nice clean floor so far brought him hopes of finally getting a decent human being to room with. He looked towards the living room and spotted the red head sitting comfortably on the couch.

“Oh, hi. I’m Cloud, your roommate.”

Cafeteria Once Again - Cloud and Kurogane

After returning from a much needed vacation, Cloud was happy to be back in Twilight Town, and happy to be able to meet up with a friend soon. He found it kind of ironic that he would be starting off this semester almost the same way he did the last with the other male, enjoying a meal at the cafeteria.

Ironic or not, it was a good place to get food, and didn’t cost you a thing, especially with needing to save money for textbooks he’d have to buy soon. He had arrived a bit earlier than planned so he went ahead and got his meal and went to search for a nice table where he would wait for the other.

It didn’t take long for him to get a text from Kurogane about having arrived, so he made sure to keep an eye open for the dark haired teen. Once he spotted him he waved him down, a small smile on his face.

“It’s been awhile Kurogane, how was the honeymoon?”

Soldier and The Flower

“i think… i’m going to head back to my dorm,” she replied, glancing back in the direction of her building. she sat and stared at him for a few moments before she slowly got up again. “you probably should, too— if you weren’t going to class or something…” she hated this, that things were like this now. aerith turned, but stopped half way, taking her bottom lip between her teeth. “cloud, i—,” she paused. do i tell him? should i?

“don’t run from him like you ran from me.” she knew he would know exactly who she was talking about, shaking her head when she looked over at the blonde. it was hard to walk away from him, but she had to do it for their own good. things were too damaged for them to talk about them right now, and it was a big campus, right? that’ll make this so much easier, what’re the chances that they bump into each other again? who am i kidding… the brunette rolled her eyes at herself, crossing her arms as she walked towards her building.

He paused and let her talk, glancing towards the dorms. He would have to wait till she was out of sight before he went back. He didn’t say anything as she slowly got up, too busy in his own thoughts about everything that had happened, that would happen, the information he’d probably want to find out. It was a good thing it was summer or things would be a lot harder for him.

He slowly started to pick himself up as his thoughts continued to go. Freezing in his place at her last words. The only words that truly registered in his head. ‘don’t run from him like you ran from me.’ There was only one person she could mean, the person he ruined most, the person he wasn’t ready to meet yet. His heart wasn’t ready at all. This wasn’t going to be good for his health at all.

“I’ll.....I’ll try.” He would...but who knew what would really happen.

“Why must you put me in these predicaments....couldn’t you give me easier ideas? For sure I’d probably push away Fuujin. I don’t know them so there’s that. I’d probably kiss Seifer, cause it’s just a kiss and I don’t know him. Now these last two, these, if are only if I was ever deserving of them. It’s hard to pick really between the two because I would want to marry and cuddle both but I guess I’d marry Aerith and cuddle Zack.”

The Real Soldier

Since his run in with Aerith, Cloud rarely found himself leaving his room unless necessary, just like today was. That night was supposed to be clear, the perfect night to go star gazing, a hobby he had picked up some time during his sophomore year in high school that was hard to stop even after all the memories he had connected to the activity. 

It didn’t take him long to find his usual star gazing spot and as usual, there was nobody but him there. Just like he liked it. He laid back on the grass and stared at the sky. The stars were beautiful as always, just like they were that one night. The memories were still as clear as if it had just been yesterday. He couldn’t help but smile softly. 

He had ended up falling asleep at some point, dreaming of happy times with the two people he loved the most. The dreams had been so vivid, he could still hear his voice clear as day as he slowly stirred awake. Until he realized that voice wasn’t coming from his head but from the man who was standing over him.

His eyes shot open the moment he recognized who it was and he quickly shot up, accidentally headbutting the other as he did. He fell back and quickly moved his hands to rub at his now sore forehead, several thoughts rushing through his head, giving him a worse headache.

“This can’t be real, please let me still be dreaming...” he found himself whispering to himself afraid to open his eyes and see the man again.
