I'm in the same boat as an organizer for my local writing group. Was thinking of Discord? Heard it's better than Skype.
We went with Go To Meeting, because one of our members already had it for work so we didn’t need to pay.
Discord is a good option too, though, since they just upped their screen-share limit to 50 people because of the virus.
