She couldn’t sleep. She couldn’t focus. She’d burned her arm, even.
Seun sighed at her broom, already wrapped up in a robe as she swept her way through the inn. At least the burn wasn’t bad; saying farewell to Sanji had left her zoned out and not thinking clearly in the least, allowing for the perfect chance for the back of her arm to brush against a hot pot. The mark it left throbbed, but at least it was tolerable and wrapped up in a bandage, providing enough relief that she could tend to her chores. Well… Maybe not while in the best mind frame, but she was doing them.
So when she heard that familiar voice calling out her name, she couldn’t quite place it as Sanji actually being there. Instead, she stopped her sweeping and leaned heavily against the broom, letting her eyes drift closed as her chest tightened for the umpteenth time that night alone. What harm would replying do? “I’m here- Sweeping the front hall.” He was back at his ship, with his crew, probably sleeping. She was going insane… Right?
He heard her voice and found her exactly where she she said she was, propped up against the broom in the front hall. The box he carried with him was set aside, footfalls becoming almost nonexistent as he crept towards her. He didn’t want to startle her, but Sanji found it hard to resist the urge when she was standing with her back to him.
Suppressing the giggles bubbling up from his chest, the cook continued to inch towards her carefully. Only when he stood behind her did he reached out and grasp at her waist, hands pulling her hard against him. His chest met with her back, lips finding her cheek when he ducked his head down. A couple of sweet, short kisses were placed against her face, fingers moving to tickle at her sides now that he had her pinned against him.
“Hello, my sweet~! I hope I didn’t come at a bad time.” He purred into her whilst grinning foolishly, knowing well that she was only doing her chores and that now was as good a time as any to surprise her. Luckily for her, he failed to notice her bandages right away. “Are you busy? I brought you something.”
Seun heaved a sigh; why was she hearing his voice? He wasn't there.. How far gone was she that she could hear him even in the middle of the evening, when she should be sweeping? He was gone, she reminded herself, straightening with the intention of resuming her chores...
Just to squeal at the familiar hands pulling her back against a warm body, the touch more than welcome as it registered in her mind alongside, finally, his voice. The broom fell from her hands in favor of laying a hand on one of his, the other reaching up and behind her to bury in his hair with a giggle. "San-! I thought you'd left- It's too quiet a-and lonely without you here." So she wasn't insane... but she did agree with crazy, considering how amazing it felt to be in his arms.
Turning her head, she pressed in a couple of soft kisses to his lips, the angle awkward, but better than nothing. "Just doing my chores- You didn't have to bring me anything, silly. I'm happiest with just you, you know. I don't need anything more."
