i made her when i was like 13 so i have a ton of lore for her so this might take a moment to sort out
she’s ingrid’s cousin on her dad’s side, making her a lady in some fairly small capacity. however, she was the second crestless child of a second crestless child, so her role as nobility is greatly diminished. she knew that, but she still wanted to make a difference to the common people; so, with her 15 year old brain, she decided that running away around the same time glenn became a knight to become a mercenary was the perfect way to help her people, as she sent the vast majority of her funds back to galatea territory in one way or another under a pseudonym.
and then she got hired by lord arundel.
she wasn’t told the nature of the job until she arrived. she was told to go to duscur to kill a “corrupt knight”—she knew there were plenty of those, so she didn’t question it until she actually arrived at duscur in the midst of the tragedy. she saw glenn shoving little dimitri into gilbert’s arms before running back into the chaos, and so she followed him. i have two ideas of how her story goes, one where she saves him and another where she doesn’t, but i’ve been thinking about him lately so we’ll go with the one where she does.
she manages to pull him out of the fire and heal him with the concoctions she had on hand and the minimally-better-than-elementary understanding of healing magic she had, but he was still incredibly wounded and, when he woke up, was missing his memory, not recognizing her or any of the things she tried to do to fix his amnesia. as he healed, it became clear he retained his sword prowess, and so he joined her in her mercenary endeavors until they eventually met the savage mockingbird on a job in adrestia around a year and a half after the tragedy.
they kept meeting the savage mockingbird, who eventually joined up with them. he disappeared for a while, eventually joining them again and leading them to abyss to set up home base there. he introduced himself as yuri, and savina introduced herself by name instead of the nickname “black sky”, which she had received for her use of thunder magic.
i am running out of time cause i have to get ready for an event but yuri and savina do eventually date and are an established relationship by the time canon starts. however, she and glenn are on a mission regarding their eventual goal of revealing arundel for his part in the tragedy, and thus do not meet the students and all them between chapters 4 and 5 when the dlc actually occurs. instead, they are met in chapter 10 (i think it’s 10), where savina stops kronya from killing jeralt.
i might be writing a fic about her i haven’t decided yet we shall see hehe

warnings: talk of death
Lucina blinked her eyes open.
She was in a temple. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she knew it was a temple to Naga, but she barely processed that. She didn't know how or why she was here, and panic began to thrum beneath her skin.
Where had she been?
She'd been fighting. That's right. She'd been fighting, Grima on the horizon. The Risen were swarming worse and worse, she was separated from everyone, and–
Nothing.
She bit the inside of her lip, looking around. She had to go back. She didn't know where she was or what was happening but none of that mattered. She needed to get back. They needed her, they all needed her. There was no way to do the Awakening ritual without her. Falchion had rejected Owain, after all, and without that, there was no hope to defeat Grima.
And she was their leader. She was the last line of defense between the survivors and imminent death. She loved her friends, but they could never come to a consensus; without a solid leader, they would fall apart.
(She ignored the voice in the back of her head that they could still fall apart.)
"Lucina."
She turned at her name. There was a woman there, with a kind smile and long, glowing white hair. It took her longer than she might have liked to realize that this was Lady Naga, but she immediately fell to a knee and bowed her head when she did.
"Lady Naga," she said, reverence in every syllable. Her heart pounded in her chest, but Naga simply laughed, a charming thing reminiscent of the windchimes Lucina's mother had hung in her window when she was a child.
"Stand, Lucina. There is no need for such decorum," Naga said. Lucina blinked for a moment, processing the order, before standing, raising her head and meeting her goddess in the eye.
"Why... why am I here?" Lucina asked, voice quieter than she might have liked.
Naga didn't reply for a moment. Instead, she floated forward, tucking a piece of Lucina's hair behind her ear. "There are times in our lives we need a little assistance. You have been denied that far too long."
It wasn't an answer, not really. Lucina looked up into the depths of Naga's eyes, a knot in her throat as she tried to find the words.
"Am I... dead?"
"No need to fear, my dear," Naga said. "Your time has not come quite yet."
Lucina nodded. She thought she would feel overwhelming relief at those words, and yet... she was simply numb. There was no sigh, no laughter, just a quiet oh echoing in the back of her mind.
"You do not seem pleased." Naga wore a slight frown, and she gently put a finger beneath Lucina's chin. "I know things are hard, my dear, but you fight so hard for your survival. Why the disappointment?"
There was no judgement in Naga's voice, yet Lucina felt slightly chided. She looked away, unable to meet Naga's eyes. "I'm just... so tired," Lucina said, and her voice grew thick against her wishes. "I just... When will the fighting end, milord? When will we be free of this endless cycle of death and bloodshed and despair? I try to be a symbol of hope, but I–I'm sixteen, Naga. I can't... I'm not invincible. I'm tired. I... I think I have the right to be tired."
"Of course you do, dear," Naga said, and she gently drew Lucina into a hug. Lucina bit her bottom lip in an attempt to keep it from wobbling, but tears welled in her eyes anyway and she knew she was losing the battle with her emotions. "You are so, unbelievably strong, and I am so, so proud of you. I know you can do it; if anyone can, it's you. I know you will succeed, little butterfly. But for now, do not worry about the future; do not worry about the "what if"s and "when"s. For now, allow yourself to cry. I am here for you always, but especially now."
Naga's words broke the dam. Lucina wailed for the first time since her mother died, clinging to Naga's robes and burying her face in her collarbone. She choked on her sobs, shoulders shaking uncontrollably, her breath coming in desperate gasps.
It seemed as though it lasted forever. Naga simply held her, rubbing soothing circles on her back and occasionally whispering a quiet reassurance to her. But eventually, the well of tears ran dry, and Lucina pulled away with a hung head and a feeling of weightlessness.
"Thank you, Lady Naga," she murmured, her throat still thick with emotions.
"Of course, Lucina," Naga reassured. "Are you ready to go back, or do you want to stay here for a moment? No time has passed with your friends; everything will resume just as you left it."
Lucina took a slow, steadying breath. "I'm ready," she said, nodding with more strength than she necessarily felt.
She caught a glimpse of Naga's serene smile before everything went bright, and she resumed her lead in the fight for their lives.
