i really hadn't thought about it much before but i do love the thought of dick's first robin mask being regular cloth that he has to tie around his head and not the stick-on mask with lens that the modern robin has today. robin & batman showed dick in his training wearing a simple black tie on mask, but it really does fit his vibe so well!! everything about dick's robin feeling very new, including how to hide a secret identity and not thinking too hard about the cosmetics of it all until later down the line when the armor has been perfected and the skills have been properly trained- really fun character design i think
