"Dream" house

I don't know where else to put this, but I dreamed the goddamn stupidest interior home design - so dumb that it followed me into the waking world.

I was part of some home design show like Property Brothers or whatever. I was being consulted on how to install a bedroom door. Great, doors, no problem. I know doors.

The whole house is open plan (le grande sigh) - except! The bedroom is PARTIAL open plan, in that the only barrier between it and the rest of the house is a waist-high wall. Like, a place to lean on, where your full wall of privacy would be IF YOU HAD ONE.

Yes, I am to install a door gate for the bedroom. Good news! They've custom ordered the door gate already! You'll never guess the design. That's right, it's a guillotine-style door! You pull the rope, and up it goes! So much more elegant than a handle, don't you think? Careful on the release.

...I feel like my subconscious is telling me to get into home design for the super rich?
