10. IS YOUR CHARACTER STREET-SMART, BOOK-SMART, INTELLIGENT, INTELLECTUAL, SLOW-WITTED?
percy is a very book-smart person. she loves to read & always has, since she was a little girl. she’s also highly intellectual, and has an easy time grasping nebulous concepts (as long as they relate to something she’s interested in). because of this, she’s always been considered intelligent as well. HOWEVER, if she isn’t as interested in a subject (for example, math) she won’t do as well. she’ll get too easily frustrated by not grasping the concepts, and won’t be able to focus.
22. WHO ARE THEIR FRIENDS? LOVERS? ‘TYPE’ OR ‘IDEAL’ PARTNER?
if we’re talking dragon age percy, she gets along with almost everyone? she definitely considers alistair a close friend, as she does leliana and morrigan. she and sten have some rough patches, but eventually come to respect each other; she and shale have a similar path to their relationship. she looks up to wynne as a grandmother, and sees loghain (post-landsmeet) as a sort of … new father figure? she respects him greatly & comes to love him dearly. i’ve decided that her canon romance is zevran, mostly because i don’t want her to go through MORE heartbreak by having been with alistair before the landsmeet. zevran doesn’t seem like her type at first, but he charms her quickly and on top of being madly in love with him, she considers him a dear friend (the dear friend part remains even if i’m rping with a zev i don’t ship with !)
OH and i forgot to add that in awakenings her best friend is anders. he makes her laugh, which is something she desperately needs.
i’ve only really done stuff with murder house percy (which i do love!), and her relationships are… eclectic. there’s charles ( @frankencomplex ) , who she sees as a sort of surrogate father . a dead surrogate father . she also considers @filmmade‘s josh her best friend ( and she has a big ol’ crush on him. ) . as with anders, josh knows how to make her laugh, and she looks forward to any time she gets to spend with him. all in all, percy tends to gravitate towards a diverse group of people & makes friends quickly.
the only ship i have with percy As Of Right Now (i am… always open to more… she’s a big romantic) is with phillip ( @countlessdreamings ) . we started shipping them over a year ago, and even though we’ve put them through hellish amounts of angst, we love our kids so much. phillip and percy do a very good job of helping each other through trauma & getting each other out of bad situations. they end up married with a bunch of kids, it’s very sweet.
romantically, she tends to gravitate towards the people who make her smile, laugh, and giggle. there isn’t really much of a physical type for her, but she appreciates people with whom she can have a deep conversation on the things she loves: art, literature, music, or pop culture.
25. WHAT ARE THEIR HOBBIES AND INTERESTS?
percy is a musician! if dragon age bards weren’t an orlesian thing, she’d be a bard. in her canon she plays ukulele, guitar, clarinet, and a little bit of piano and saxophone. she’s a trained singer, and although she knows she’s good, she’s often self-conscious about singing in front of others. she also enjoys writing stories or plays, though she rarely completes projects because her brain bounces to another too quickly. if you see her scribbling in a notebook, she’s either writing or sketching her friends or characters.
and, of course, like i said above, she’s a bookworm.
finally, she loves fashion! she knows how to sew and dreams of designing theatrical productions some day.
