The whole ‘eternity’ thing and ‘life after death’ was a bit hard to swallow -- even if he had, technically, already died once before -- but that was not the biggest of his concerns right now. He had bent down to pet a stray cat on the side of the road, always having found such creatures adorable and appealing, but all of a sudden something hit him in the head. Of all things, a shoe had dumped down from above.

Reaching upwards, presenting the shoe, the words that left the teen’s mouth were the only logical ones he could think of in this situation.

17. Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress?

     Eve prefers to dress so that most of her skin is covered. She often wears armor-type clothing, since she’s now geared towards combat, but when wearing cloth, she would much rather be covered than uncovered.

     The reason for this actually stems from her “anatomy” rather than a desire to keep her skin hidden. All the flesh on Eve’s body is 100% artificial. Since it is, it doesn’t heal, and if it gets damaged, she has to replace it. It’s kind of a pain to do so, so its safer for her not to risk damaging it.

     As for rituals, she doesn’t really have any.

49. Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?

     She would never admit such a thing, but while Eve doesn’t have many fears, she does fear death. The only reason she acts that she doesn’t is because she is confident in her own ability to persist.

     Eve believes it is wrong to feel this way, since she’s a machine, and tries to keep the feeling away. After all, could machines ever really “live” in the first place? But Eve, as many human beings do, fears death because it’s unknown. Even if she’s in the afterlife, even if she may be able to come back, she doesn’t want to test it.
