@curseofbreadbear asked: [Vanessa, burdened by her curiosity after receiving a long-winded phone call / rant from her brother the other day, had gone out of her way to look into this town's second Michael Afton. Jeez, if she only had a nickel for every "Mike" she knew.] [Searches through the internet hadn't yielded any non-fraternal results, nor had her station's database, but she somehow got lucky enough to overhear a conversation about "some purple guy" squatting in a foreclosed house. It only took a bit of extra digging to find an address. The second her shift was over, she made her way there and knocked on the door. When the door opened, she finally understood that "purple" description. Michael had hit the nail on the head -- this was a case of the living dead, alright.] ❝ Hey there. Michael, right? ❞ [She awkwardly smiled, suddenly feeling the weight of this interaction crash onto her shoulders. The more she looked, the more she saw it -- the decomposition of her own brother. The sight was wrong. Unnerving. Terrifying. Putrid. But she'd already dug her grave...so she'd have to lie in it.] ❝ ...I'm Vanessa. Do you have a minute to talk? ❞ (movie vanessa time >:) (somebody tell her to stop taking her brother's calls-))
Oh his interaction with his other self had been EXHAUSTING. He hated it. Ugh. He hopes that idiot comes to his senses eventually, but it really might take something drastic to knock some brain cells back into that brain of his.
What shocked him was a few days later there came a knock on the door. He didn't go to open it at first, but after deducing there was no sirens or police lights he goes to open it. What greets him is what he's gonna assume his own sister would have looked like had she grown older. But this wasn't Elizabeth. This was Vanessa. Michael's sister.
"Yup. That's me," he moves to the side to let her in, closing and locking the door immediately after. He hated being here. Why he'd decided to hunker down in an abandoned house he doesn't know. Oh wait, he didn't want to scare this world's Henry that's why. Otherwise he would have hid out there with him. But this version of his uncle doesn't need a rotting corpse at his doorstep.
"I assume your idiot of a brother called you." It's not even a question. He knows he did. Otherwise Vanessa wouldn't be here. Though that at least saves him the hunt to find her. Thanks Michael, you've done Mike a favor.
"I apologize for my appearance. I know this must upset you. I assume your brother filled you in on what he's probably calling bullshit?"
