He stared at it, pulling his spear back. “What’re you doing in here?” The mass of plant seemed to have some kind of consciousness so maybe it could understand him.

Glancing down at the plant he cocked his head to the side a little. “Oh? Are you shaking my hand?” He laughed a little and shook the tendril gently. “Hello!” He wasn’t even sure it could hear him.
