Does Your Content Answer Customer FAQs? - Crest Media Inc
People often head over to the Internet in search of answers. They could be answers to a very common problem they are currently having or they could be answers that involve a product or service they are thinking about purchasing. There are several websites on the Internet that exist solely to answer customer FAQs. A perfect example of this is when online retail giant Amazon added a consumer question / answer section to the majority of products they sell. Google has also noticed this desire consumers have to find answers to questions. They released an algorithm update (cheerfully named “Hummingbird”) a few years ago that featured content that answers common questions.
Are Searches Commonly Questions?
A lot of the common search queries that Google receives on a daily basis are in the form of a question. How often do you ask Google a question? If you pay close attention to your Google search habits, you will find that it is more often than not and of course Google knows this as well. By being able to provide users with the answers they are looking for, Google has created a more user friendly experience. This is their goal and it is a simple concept that your business can capitalize on as well.
What Questions Would Your Customers Have?
Being the creator of your product or service gives you a very unique advantage. You already know all the answers to how, where, why, when, how much, how often, etc. Knowing these answers is a very powerful thing when you use the answers correctly in your content marketing efforts.
How Can You Create Content Based Around Customer FAQs?
The easiest way to determine which questions you should tailor your content around is to type them into Google. Google will graciously show you alternate questions based on your initial question. These suggestions might be more popular and they might give you more creative ways to make even more content based on just one question.
There is also another secret to creating this type of content and it involves using one word. That word is “me.” Try adding the word “me” to some of your questions, wherever applicable and you have highly targeted content that people devour faster than a free lunch.
Should You Append Existing Content?
This whole concept doesn’t have to be solely used for new content creation either. You can use this same idea with content you may have already created. Go back over the majority of your content and see how and where you can make changes to include some of these frequently asked questions your customer may have about your products or services.
