Long Post talking about what is now quite possibly my favorite doll ever (the Styled By Andrew Mukamal Barbie)
I got her about a month ago, these are her fresh out of the box (the hat was from a target exclusive Beach Barbie) and I really liked her though I had gripes. Those included the glitter shed on her mini dress and the tape on her chest to keep it (on which it doesn't need). But I overall, she was pretty nice, maybe not $50 nice in this state, but still nice.
Then I put her on an MTM Body, also adding some earrings and some blush w/ water color pencils:
These 3 small changes immediately elevated her. She's on the body of that overpriced Barbie Style Millie (which has white nails like the styled by doll's model muse body), but the currently available MTM Yoga Millie is also a perfect match for her. The skirt of her original outfit doesn't quite fit on an MTM btw. But Needless to say I started to get obsessed with her.
Then a day later I decided give her some purple eyshadow, and this turned into a borderline PERFECT Barbie for me, like this IS Barbie. I became VERY obsessed with her after
Then finally I ended up modifying the MTM body she was on by giving her a Snatched waist with the boiling water method, and while I left it in there a tad too long so it looks a little weird when she's nude, this change has turned into the PERFECT Barbie for me. What I would consider to be the best doll to ever come out of Mattel within the last 11-12 years. She's just SO GOOD! SHE LOOKS GOOD IN EVERYTHING!! (The skirt of her fit now fits btw)
SHE'S THE BEST DOLL EVER LIKE OH MY GOD. Granted it took a fair bit of customizing, more than some people might be willing to do, but god damn these really elevate this doll to insane heights. I have A LOT more pics of her but I only get 30 images in one post so I might post the rest later.
But yeah she's absolutely worth it after all this, and even reinvigorated my love for Barbie. Like she IS Miss Barbara Millicent Roberts. She is the truest embodiment of "She's EVERYTHING" The most Barbie™ Barbie to be released in the modern era. I love her to death. Thank you Andrew Mukamal.

"He's a good man, Savannah! A GOOD man! He's just in a bad situation right now, and he's TRYING to get OUT OF IT!" 🙄x100
Savannah (Boom-Boom, in green) explains to her friends Gloria (purple) and Bernadine (burnt sienna), the conversation she had earlier with her emotionally abusive, man-enabling mother.
Models: "Daphne Fox, Kira, Boom-Boom Baxter" in a reimagining of the iconic scene from "Waiting to Exhale". All looks are custom pieces by @barbietronix.
It's...the other Courtney. Courtney Love of Barbietron and her warlock/bartender husband Samir. Ritual rug is a customized airbrushed panther I had made eons ago. I was too young to afford Versace, but the point for me was having a fierce bedazzled panther shirt to wear to a prom I didn't wanna go to at all, unless I wore something unconventional. So, I went to the mall and had some man at a kiosk create a dupe for me. I think it retailed for about $700 and I got him to make mine for $20 using a picture from V magazine. The same shirt sold at auction for nearly 3k and I feel like I came away the winner cause I've upcycled it to hell and back for nearly 30 years (putting it on leather jackets and other clothes using safety pins). Now it's a rug for my Barbies! And I didn't spend $700 to do so. So, no....it's NOT Ver-sayce or Versace. It's timeless and it's mine.

Model: "Daphne Fox", alleged etsy sorceress, pictured before adding her accessories. She gives me Ororo mixed with Sailor Saturn vibes. This sculpt would make an excellent version of Storm.
