Created this canvas custom because I looked everywhere online and on my usual go to stores for canvases @deserres @michaelsstores @apollonartistcanvas for a unique shaped octagon canvas and couldn't find anything I could buy. There is no octagon shaped canvas you can buy on these art supply stores. Only thing I could find was one site selling stretched canvas and the biggest size was 16" which is too small. I don't like how on round and unique shaped cloth canvases it pulls, and isn't a clean edge. It wasn't what I was looking for and I wanted a lot bigger size on wood. So I asked my dad if he could build one for me since he's good with the saw and wood working. Thank God 😅 He built me this unique 48" x 48" canvas with thick three inch sides for me to paint on! Even the back of the piece inspired me because I want to make a shelf like this now with thicker depth and my art style in the back of each shelving space. A table will look awesome too. This is the start of unique shaped canvas' and bold custom statement pieces/furniture. Many more plans in the works and more of these octagon shapes .. this is this first of the series.. stay tuned!
