Once upon a time, I had aspirations to be a comic illustrator/writer. I feel i was pretty good, but I ain't great at social media. Most comic publishers are wary of taking a risk on a phenomenal but largely unknown artist. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get a significant following.
So one bad marriage, a child, a family death, and a complete career change later, I don't do as much art as I'd like.
With Andy doing homeschool, I wanted her to be engaged with her schedule. I was looking for a planner specific to homeschool, but most of what I found was....lacking. Most, if not all, the planner I saw looked like they were designed by Beige Moms, or they were all done up in florals.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind floral. Generally speaking. But after a while, floral is dull. And the color palettes of the others were aesthetically pleasing, but if I couldn't engage with it, then I can't reasonably expect my child to.
I asked Andy what theme she'd like, and at first, she said Captain America. YES! Awesome! Not only was it Captain America, it was going to be how a kid drew him cause thats what she wanted.
She changed her mind lol.
I'm gonna load this with hyperlinks, and I'll let her write things in it. I'll update it as we go along so she can be fully invested in her learning. I'm drawing a drastically different one for myself because this ain't my style at all lol. But I gotta get a move on so she can have this loaded on the tablet.
