Never met a magazine cover that didn't love color. There are statistics out there that show certain colors at certain times of the year do better than others. Clearly, this was a spring/summer cover with room for a logo in the upper left hand corner #editorial // There are three pieces here that started the cover - 1) the curtain fabric @designersguild @aj_maison #ikat 2) the custom sofa found at a vintage shop and 3) @formationsusa @hollyhuntminneapolis. Once I had these anchor points, the rest were accessories like the tall vase @zacharyltd. and the left hand pillow from @leejofa @kdrshowrooms // Pulling together editorials is just like puzzling together #residential spaces. The difference is translating 3D into 2D. A lot of spaces have to be simplified not only for copy on the page but also for visual referencing.
