A scene from one of my favorite episodes.
i may be a kpop fan but heavy rotation and sayonara crawl make me insanely happy
in ni no kuni in the wizard's companion book, there's a super adorable illustration of how when you equip your monster buddies with swords and stuff, they don't actually hold them--they enclose them in glowing bubbles and ingest them, and it then just enhances their core being. it was really cute.
sadly, they do not actually have an animation for them doing this when you equip or unequip stuff in the game. it's just a single drawing in the book.
tangential: does ni no kuni really need a combat system? and if so, does it really need the specific combat system it has? couldn't it, for example, have serious sam's combat system?
