2x13 was GORGEOUS.
So... let’s ignore my heartbreak for a moment. Let’s ignore the narrative issues and character regression. Let’s talk about how well directed this episode was.
I don’t normally sit around thinking, “gosh, this CW TV director is so good” and I don’t know how much of this is yay Jeff Hunt, or just...good New Mexico locations and a perfect filming schedule weather wise, but I just want to take a moment and appreciate the beauty.

bad: houseki no kuni is just steven universe as an anime!!!
good: houseki no kuni has it’s own developped plot that is completely different from SU’s, despite them sharing “gems” as characters, each series has it’s own themes and is unique in it’s own way
