Here are some pictures of me and my sweet kitten, Ellie! I adopted her on November 17th, 2021 and she is a wonderful addition to my life. I will write a post above on what it is like so far to be a disabled cat parent, but I wanted to start including photos on this blog as well. More photos to come, of the apartment as well! Image descriptions : In the first photo, Ellie and I are laying with our heads close together, and I am kissing her. Ellie is black and white, with some white on her nose, chest, belly and feet. She has a black splotch on the middle of her nose. She has white feet like socks! In the second photo, Ellie is laying in my white wire basket for my walker. She has big greenish yellow eyes. In the third photo, Ellie is standing up on the back of my blue walker. In the fourth photo, Ellie is laying at my feet on our rug, looking up at the camera. She has a rainbow foam ball between her paws. In the fifth photo, I am sitting with Ellie by my Solstice tree. The tree has colored lights on it, and bells and some rainbow ornaments. There are white lights by me as well. I am wearing a blue shirt and an orange beanie hat. I am holding Ellie in my arms, we are both happy. I am smiling.
Note : My family celebrates the Winter Solstice (on December 21st) instead of Christmas. This is a celebration of the shortest day of the year and of the sun coming back. The Summer Solstice (June 21st) is the longest day, then from there the days (and amount of sun) gets shorter until the Winter Solstice. So that’s why I have a Solstice tree instead. Happy Holidays to you no matter what holiday(s) you celebrate. And happy winter if you don’t celebrate any.
