ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 pairing: Joe keery x Fem!Reader. ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 warnings: Fluff, pre-Established relationship and lots of fluff!! Not really any warnings in this. There may be some spelling mistakes oops..! ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Summary: When an interviewer can’t help but bring up the fact that your boyfriend made a song for Charlie— Aka “Charlie’s Garden” you can’t help but go on a rant again..and again..!

━━━━━━━ “I think it’s important to start off by adressing the elephant in the room..today”
The interviewer already smiling a little to knowingly, her words handing in their air.
Joe’s knee brushing against yours slightly, his fingers tapping against his thigh. Before glancing at you biting back a smile. Shooting him an unimpressed look at the question knowing it’s coming.
“So..Maya, Natalia and y/n especially..how did you feel when you found out Joe had made a song about Charlie instead of you?”
“Oh god” you mutter, huffing out a quiet laugh.
Joe dropping his head, and laughing into his hands “I knew this was coming” he grins out “here we go”
“Well I feel betrayed!? I can’t imagine how y/n feels” Maya says letting out a dramatic gasp. Making Charlie to snort beside her.
Charlie lifting his head, as he shakes his head slightly before. “I just want to say- That song is not about me!”
“Thank you!!” You reply immediately pointing at him.
“He’s been waiting to say that Joe did not make the song about him ever since” Natalia laughs.
“Because people act like Joe wrote the song while staring into my eyes like he’s in love with me!?” Charlie admits, earning a laughter from around the room.
“Okay! That never happened” Joe laughing out loud, his fingers now tapping against your thigh.
“Unfortunately..” Charlie adds, smirking at you.
“I mean I’ll give it to him…the song is sweet” you say turning back to the interviewer still smiling.
Joe looking at you, his eyebrows now raised. “That’s not what you said in the car?”
Making you glance up at him. “That’s is classified information”
“Should I feel offended..?” Charlie points out his eyebrow now slightly raised.
“No! No!” You quickly shoot back “first of all who doesn’t love Charlie’s garden?”
Earning a collective agreeing hum from the either side of you.
“That place is special” Joe now tilting his head towards you.
Now slightly smiling at the memory’s replaying in your head. “It’s quiet you know, we love just catching up there..and mostly doing nothing”
“Charlie built the best hang out spot” Joe adds, the side of his body now fully pressed closely to yours.
“I mean- Charlie’s garden is such a special place to me- to all of us actually” Maya speaks up from beside Natalia.
Charlie smiling at the two of you. “I’m honoured these guys love it”
“So no real jealousy then..?” The interviewer asks, her gate returning back to you.
Shaking your head. “Nope, none” sighing softly. “Really, I mean we love Charlie’s garden so I like to imagine the song is about me”
“Same!” Natalia calls out, Maya following along right after.
“So we’ve cleared it up..?” The interviewer says her tone nothing but light.
“I mean I guess..still want a song about me” Maya mumbles. Making Joe look at her and laugh.
“I second that” Natalia calls out.
“I third it” you respond. Making Joe look at you his fingers tracing small circles in your palms.
His thumb stills for a moment at your words, before he huffs out a quiet laugh. “Guess I’ll have to get to work then..” he mumbles, his eyes drifting to the feel of your hands loosely intertwined.
“Oh come on lovebirds- can I just say” Maya calls out. “We all know Joe has a secret folder of songs he’s made for y/n”
Making Joe choke on his laugh, his hand pulling away only to run it through his hair. “That is not- true!” He stumbles.
“Okay now I feel Charlie’s garden wasn’t enough..” Charlie gasps dramatically.
“This is no fair y/n gets a whole folder- and you got one song about your garden! What about me and Maya?” Natalia shoots out quickly, her tone laced with nothing but teasing.
“I mean they are amazing songs-” you say before being cut off by Joe.
“I thought we were keeping this a secret” he says all defensive before softening up and looking at you. “All of you are unbelievable”
“Well- as much as I am enjoying this! I think this is the perfect cliffhanger to end on” The interviewer. Now checking her notes.
The now background noise of the outro now into place. All while discreetly Joe’s hand interlinked with yours tightly. His shoulder bumping yours ever so slightly.
“I’m never living this down am I..?” Joe murmurs quietly.
“Nope..but I do like it that way”
