ive gotta ask because it wont leave me alone- the person found at the receptionist's desk.. are they someone we know or am i wracking my brain too hard trying to put a face to a " strange winged fish " 😭

you're trying too hard to put a name to the face! it's just a dead receptionist, for whatever that's worth.

in general: unless i name a monster, none of the monsters are really meant to be known characters in stuffed bird. i will tell you if you're supposed to recognize someone or something, don't worry!

(fun facts of the day: at one point, some monsters were maybe homages, but i decided that they'd generally not be major characters. there WAS a draft of the stuffed bird outline that was more episodic, and there were encounters with monsters that were specific characters. but that didn't particularly work for what i wanted to do. so i tightened everything down to exactly four major named characters, with like, two or three more getting lip service but not particularly important to the plot. ultimately, i think that worked best!)
