a lot of my tumblr friends want to move to england but sometimes england can be rly shit omg. ooooooooooooh that is so cool omg the only annoying thing about england is the lack of cons, unless we go over to america omg. like they have 1 con every year. its sad. oooh and thanks for the colour advice! i get to reveal myself tomorrow :) and you can check out my blog and omg im so excited ive been waiting for this aaaaaaaaaaaaaall week - G
I’ve only ever been to GenCon… the gaming convention, and I went when it was still in Wisconsin (now it’s in Indianapolis). And it was fun as hell. But it was because I was with people who were big gamers and they were super fun people. It was cheap too. We crammed ten people in the hotel room, and you can’t get away with that kind of highjinx now.
I’ve also been to the Winter Music Conference in South Beach Miami. Now that was a whole different thing than GenCon. I went with another DJ and wow, I had such an amazing time. We went to a party on a rooftop where there was a swimming pool up there, we got into some of the swankiest night clubs for free, got into Ultra Music Festival for free as part of WMC. I got to see so many great DJs and musical artists play live. And I met quite a few old skool legends like Frankie Knuckles! You can just be walking along and bam! There is someone famous right there, big smiles, happy to talk to you. The last year we went we tried to sneak into one of P.Diddy’s private parties, but we didn’t get too far because we were dressed too casual. Ha ha ha! So many great memories. So much awesome music. =D
I’m not sure I would go to a Creation Entertainment con. They seem like kind of a rip off/too expensive. I wouldn’t mind driving down to ComicCon in San Diego sometime. I heard you can volunteer to work at the con and you get in to a lot of things for free. The downside is that a lot of times you miss panels because you are busy working it. But it still sounds like fun.OMGOSH G, where has this week gone! I CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU TOMORROW!!!!!
