Fool. You are a fool. An absolute fucking idiot, Hook thought of himself as a perfect stranger assisted in restarting his heart. Is this really what you have become?

He gasped as his heart sprung to life once more. He sat up straight and quickly closed his chest cavity. He hated showing this level of vulnerability to anyone.

"Thank you," he said, turning his gaze away from the deer in shame. "I appreciate the assistance, but let's pretend this never happened."

Woah- holy shit, what happened to that poor deer’s face? That certainly was a shiner, not to mention the state of raggedness was markedly much worse. His hands scoop those cheeks in his hand. “Al?! Th’ hell happened..? Here, here, come in. Yer gonna lemme take a look.”

It was just one of those nights, the one where Shika couldn't get even a minute of sleep with her mind bogged down with a billion and one thoughts.

Usually her go to solution was to drink until her body and mind passed out but after the last time... maybe its about time she found a different solution. Hence why she was just walking around Hell, at night.

She certainly didn't expect to run into anyone familiar, especially not the dumpster man, John. Her ears perked up before slowly pulling back as she gave him a small shrug.

"Not really. Just... one of those nights, you know? What about you? Why are you still awake at this hour? Raccoons keeping you awake?" She mused.

His ears suddenly perk and twitch, hearing what sounded like a signal coming in... directly to him? His tail flicked and twitched bit until the signal became clearer and he could hear a voice calling out to him.

"Well, isnt that interesting, I dont recall ever having someone call me hmmm... Hello my good fellow! I can hear you loud and clear. If I may ask, who is speaking?"

Strangely, it felt like he already knew this stranger but that couldn't be right... could it?

"Goth?" Astor questioned with a raised brow. What in Hell was a 'goth'? Was that some kind of Moth? "I'm not a goth. I'm a deer." He corrected, crossing his arms as he looked to the...Alastor? Well,he kinda looked like Alastor though he was shabby and kinda smelled weird. "Uh-"

Astor tilted his head, hands folding behind himself as he circled the other stag, giving him a look over before lifting his eyes to his face. "Did you get robbed?" The shade asked as his ears twitched with slight concern.

"What are you wearing? Why do you smell like that and what happened to your antler?" He asked as he reached up to poke at the broken antler.

Alastor decided to hug him. Whether or not he could sense Angel was feeling down or not wasn’t on his mind. He was just sort of melting into the hold, face pressed into his shoulder. Don’t pay too much attention to him all but leaning on the deer, or starting a slow wag.
