CV1
Writing a traditional CV is, I think, a soul-destroying experience, so this brief is a great opportunity to get a bit more creative with the design and information.
An artist CV differs from a conventional CV insofaras only information relevant to the artist practice should be contained (including qualifications).
With my background in Graphic Design and Typography I decided to work strictly within the following parameters:
1. the typography should reflect both refer to traditional and digital process whilst being utilitarian. therefore, DIN1451 and OCR A Std were used.
2. the type should be set at varying angles and connected visually.
3. the information should be ultra-concise but still be clear
4. the colour scheme must be restricted to one colour, key and paper
5. One image that sums up my visual style
Given that I work across a range of media all of which intersect at points I decided to lay out the different areas I work with and these are connected visually to the various pieces of software I work with,
All in all, I’m pleased with the result. I think it has a visual urgency and the yellow and key colour scheme is attention grabbing (and a nod to the Hacienda of course).
Uh recent Simons
I have cleaned up a sketch and then colored it digitally :3!!! I didn’t know Medibang had that feature until recently. Ignore how silly the crosses look— I keep noticing tiny spots I forgot to clean up and I’m just done messing with it 💀💀💀.
I have drawn Simon again :)
The fourth image is based on the art for a Vocaloid song lol, “Leming-ming” by Kairikibear . And the last two are outfits from some dress up games I was playing around on.
But yeah! Actually posting new art, I drew these yesterday!!! Wahoo! d(^^ )
