Stick to shadows. Remain unseen. That had been his life for the last few years. Returning back to where this all began, where they used to live... It wasn’t easy. His shift in personality and, well everything, didn’t erase the memories. He knew his game was coming to an end. He just didn’t know how it would happen. There was his way, Alex’s way, or the thing pulling the strings. They all had their own plans. Perhaps he was vain to think he could win. It didn’t matter. All of his friends were dead or gone. All of this was coming crashing down. It was catching fire since they all met to make the film and now it had become an unstoppable wildfire. His only choices were to find a way to put it out, burn, or try to use the fire to do damage to the ones that deserved it.
But for now, he was sneaking into his old college. It was dark, but there were still late classes going on. He needed tapes and he didn’t exactly have the means to get them legally. If he moved quick enough, they wouldn’t notice the mask. He knew exactly where he was going.
But he didn’t expect another student (if he could call himself that anymore) to be in the room. It was rare for him to be caught off guard. He had shut the door quietly behind him before noticing her. Stop. Freeze, Even breathing might be risky.
His gloved fingers took hold on the door handle again while he faced the familiar girl. Slowly, he started to move it. The door was behind him. Maybe he could slip out before she saw....
