alec stretched his arms out, his feet swinging off the side of his bed as he walked towards his bedroom door. this was a constant thing, waking up every morning around 1AM, dying of thirst it seemed. as he made his way to opening his door, he couldn’t help but stop in his tracks. his eyes narrowing at the smaller figure coming from his parents bedroom door. this wasn’t the first time alec had noticed the girl. he was almost convinced he had been sleepwalking every day and maybe he had thought he saw her, but he was very much awake this time. as he watched her make her way down the stairs, alec slowly followed behind her, his hands sliding against the railing on the second floor of the stairs. it wasn’t until he heard a familiar voice. his mother’s voice calling out to the other. “excuse me? who are you?” she wasn’t even supposed to be home until six. her shift at the hospital must’ve gotten cut short. leaning over the railing, he watched the girl struggle to answer. his head beginning to shake as he finally got what was happening. alec could have let his father get caught, if anything.. he wanted him to but, he knew the consequences if he had. “that’s my girlfriend, mom.” he replied from above. his eyes meeting with the girls and his body leaning upwards as he crossed his arms. “sorry, i didn’t think you’d be home.. i didn’t want you to get upset about me having a girl over.”

he’s made the same usual stop ; the one he does almost every morning - using the little bit of free time he had to sketch whatever crossed through his mind before heading to work. he bites into his donnut , a sip of his milkshake now taken before digits continue to trace lines on the loose page of his sketchbook - it’s that one character he came up with years ago ; the second comic of zayra on the works ; funny how he’d based her on his high school crush - the girl he wanted to talk to but never truly got the chance to. dimitri hoped he’d eventually forgett about her , but he hadn’t. his works were enough proof of it. he could only imagine how she was doing now , tristan had told him she’d gone off to some prestigious college ; one that only the best of students were able to go to - hell he’s sure she doesn’t even remember him. pen glides across the paper , lines curving into shapes ; detail now being added to the background and for a brief second he looks up and around him trying to find something that would inspire him to do something different ; to think outside of the box - that’s when gaze falls upon h e r , and it’s like everything freezes - pen now being dropped on the desk as lips are parted. four years , looks wise they both seemed to have changed just as much. tearing his gaze away he gets up , pen stuffed into the back pocket of his jeans before he grabs the rest of his stuff , donut now stuffed in his mouth as he headed out , walking next to her only for the unthinkable to happen - he trips ,and his sketchbook falls - the loose drawing now landing right n e x t to her. he isn’t quick enough to take it - he can tell she’s seen it already , it’s not like he can save himself now. “ d’you mind - giving me that ?? ” he asks nodding towards the sketch , as he picks up the other random loose drawings. maybe she wouldn’t recognize him and see it as some odd coincidence - who knows he might be l u c k y.

the two boys had the house to themselves that saturday night. they were just finishing up on homework before they went out to the garage to play some music like they always did. as park was finishing up his last question, bennett received a message from his girlfriend. he excused himself from his room to give her a call, returning only to say that he had to go run out. park knew what that was all about already. she was probably home alone and well, what else would bennett be going there for? park didn’t mind though. he wasn’t going to stop his best friend from getting some. he had to admit, he was quite jealous. he was yet to find himself a girlfriend that he truly liked enough to lose his virginity to. park didn’t think about it much except for times like this when he was left alone in his best friend’s room as he went out to go fuck his girlfriend. as his best friend disappeared down the stairs and out the door, all park could do was chuckle to himself and shake his head as he returned to the page in front of him. his gaze shot up when a figure appeared at the door. he jumped a little at the sight. “oh-- hey. i thought we had the house to ourselves. i didn’t know you were here.”

benjamin had rushed over. he’d thrown some clothes and a lot of toys into his travel bag before heading out. he didn’t even bother bringing his books, since they would probably not be using them anyways. one of the perks of his dad and stepmom both being focused on their careers, it meant they were usually busy and out of the house. he just hoped it was the case now too. he called an uber once he got to the train station and arrived at the house not much later. he’d already come up with an excuse to head upstairs if the parents were there, but it wasn’t necessary. he quickly climbed the stairs to jozie’s room, still a little out of breath. “i’m.. here. yes, i just ran up the stairs. hi.”

jacob has literally been through his lines over and over again and still he managed to fail at the rehearsal. his lack of sleep had to have been the issue, but he had promised the other he would spend some time with them. casually he found himself sleeping beside this his arms wrapped protectively around them while the movie night ended with him dosed off. mumbling stuff in his sleep he just pulled her tightly to himself. “i love you.” he mumbled quietly, still in a deep sleep.
