Steam train videos are up! You can watch them here, here, and here! This is my second time recording NKP 765 after waiting six and a half years. Camera is shaky, so I apologize for that. I was really, really excited. :)
Alright so we know a few days ago I talked about getting to see a steam engine soon.
Well due to severe weather and flooding my ride was cancelled. BUT. Later in the day they managed to get the railroad safe enough for the steamy. Still couldn’t ride bc tickets became invalid since they were for a different time (they’re working out a solution) but they did let me take pictures and videos. NKP 765 is such a gorgeous steam engine (I’m so happy her whistle blessed my ears today) so even though I couldn’t get a ride, just seeing the arrival and departure was more than enough to make me happy.
Despite knowing there’d be no ride, I still decided to dress for the occasion. Good ol’ “Who tooted?” shirt, an engineer hat from around 6 months ago, and a pin of NKP 765 herself on my shirt. There was a staff member taking pictures on one of the passenger cars and he called out to me and waved as he took pictures of the crowd, so that really lifted my spirits too.
I have videos I will post but because each one is 2-3 minutes each and I cannot trim them, they won’t be posted here directly. I will make a post linking my TikTok where I’ll post the videos there. Not tonight, though. I’m exhausted and have a splitting headache.
But I’m still happy :)
