How do you feel about hetgnc ships?
I love love love gnc characters! It fills my heart with joy to see hairy women covered in grime and muscles and men being gifted flowers and getting to feel pretty and cared for. If they so desire, every man deserves to be a princess, every woman deserves to be a prince and they all deserve to live happily ever after!
As a nonbinary (transmasc-ish?) butch lesbian who also enjoys being beautiful in a "they look like a boy who looks like a girl" kind of way (happy pride lol), I mostly steer away from het ships because of comphet baggage from the past and dumb gender roles that frankly feel meaningless to me. I just can't relate to it so it slides off my brain. Sometimes even yuri ships with extremely high-femme girly girls feel a bit boring for this reason haha, it's just not my flavour of gender soup (I am starving). If the gender roles are completely reversed or removed, ESPECIALLY if the characters are trans, I can for sure have a good time! It just... usually has to be at least lesbian-adjacent for me to become obsessed with it. Mostly the problem is the male characters just slide off my brain, unless they really have some Gender going on.
Off the top of my head, the only gnc het ship that has enough gender fuckery to ever sate my appetite has been Ranma and Akane. And that's already like.. a gender onion that has more layers than Shrek. My mum's comment when she stopped buying me Ranma 1/2 volumes when I was 12 was "I don't think you should read this, you can't even tell whether the characters are men or women" and honestly you can probably guess where all my allowance went after that in secret
