a simple envelope arrives at your room, so nondescript you may wonder if it’s actually meant for you — until you notice your name written on the front in black, cursive letters. there is no sender but the envelope has been closed shut with a wax seal you know to be from THE SEER. it seems you have a message of upmost importance… but will you open it?
“it has come not only to your attention but the king and queen’s as well that an extremely negative article about your attitude and personality at a recent event has been published. no matter if the contents are true or not, the entire royal family’s reputation has taken a huge hit from this one article alone regardless so the queen has given you two options in order to save your reputation: will you have the writer of the article poisoned or imprisoned for life?”

Jangmi opened the envelope and read it’s content before gracefully putting it down onto her glass coffee table. Then slowly, she leaned back and crossed her legs before letting her head fall back as she closed her eyes and sighed softly to herself. At a glance, she would look like any normal fancy princess relaxing in her own room, but that was only what Jangmi has learned how to portray after years of training to become the CEO of her family’s fortune and business before it was ripped away from her finger tips.
But on the inside, was turmoil and fire. She wanted to crumple the paper and stomp on it before setting it on fire. She wished she had ignored it, but the black seal tempted her too much. The question made her heart skip a beat and she wondered if this was a warning or a forewarning from the Seer. Did the Seer know her secrets? Was the Seer looking into her rendezvous?
Her heart was starting to race as she opened her eyes and looked back to the letter on the table to confirm again that it was there. Now that she has opened it, she’s positive the Seer is probably aware that she has read its content. How else would the question be so close to one of her biggest fears? Are they testing her? Did they want to know what kind of Princess she was? Jangmi pulled herself together and sat back up, with a challenging glint in her eyes. Then she grabbed her note pad besides the letter. The notes were white lined paper with small single roses adorning the edges in a minimalistic yet elegant design with her full name in gold at the top: kwon jangmi. If they wanted to test her to see how far she would go, Jangmi was going to give it to them.
She grabs her favorite black pen and writes: To spread rumors whether true or false about the Royal Family is a punishable offense. However, writing an article that brings slander and shame upon our great King and Queen’s names deserves the highest decree of justice no matter if the article was about a prince or princess or an every day citizen. Poison is the kindest mercy I could show to those dare to step on our King and Queen.
Jangmi folded the paper neatly and then got up to walk over to her desk in the corner of her room behind her love seat. Opening one of the desk drawers, she pulled out an cream colored envelope before folding the letter neatly and tucking it inside. Then she closed it before lighting a candle so that she could warm up the blood red wax that she had chosen specifically to represent herself. And when she was done, she poured it over the center before carefully placing the seal over it. Once it dried, she pulled the seal off to reveal a rose with a cursive J to represent it’s stem. Coloring the rose gold with a sharpie she turned the envelope and then placed a kiss upon the front before writing in black ink.
To the Seer. @thecrownseer
