Careful What You Wish For AU
((Time for another Ninjago au! This one takes place after an alternate ending to Skybound))
Jay makes his final wish, “I wish no one ever found that teapot in the first place” and Nadakahn granted it, sending Jay back to the past.
When Jay woke up, it was night time. He was outside Yang’s haunted temple, but it was no longer in the sky. He was on solid ground, his final wish must have worked! But he was alone. where were the others?
He went looking for them. He looked and looked but all he found were things that didn’t make sense. Things seemed older and less advanced, Ninjago city in particular seemed as though it had never gone through the phase of being ‘New Ninjago City’ in the first place... But what if...
Jay summoned his dragon and flew around Ninjago. Everything pointed to it being much farther in the past than he thought. Before Clouse had even thought of looking for the teapot. Nadakahn must have sent him back to when it was first found.
But when was it first found?
Jay flew to the monastery. It’s condition should at least give him some form of a time frame for when it was found. Eventually he arrived at the monastery.

Jay landed nearby and went to investigate the ‘not burnt to a crisp’ monastery. Being inside it again, the familiar halls, the old layout, the doors he knew led to his and his friend’s old rooms, it felt nostalgic, but just so wrong at the same time. He couldn’t drop the feeling that he wasn’t supposed to be here.
He soon found out this reason when he was caught by the past versions of the ninja and was staring himself in the face. they didn’t recognise him as Jay, probably because he was wearing his mask, had the airjitzu gi on, had an eye patch, not to mention the fact that he was also standing across the room- They started attacking him.
Jay was chased out of the monastery, being able to avoid capture due to him having more experience than the ninja from the past. But now he was left with quite the situation.
He was stuck in the past, before the serpentine were even released. He had no where to go. He didn’t even really have an identity anymore because the Jay Walker of this time was back at the monastery with the other ninja. He was alone again. Why did he have to be alone again? he didn’t want to be alone again, he just wanted to see his friends again, did they even exist anymore? Sure there was the past versions of his friends but they were not the same. What was he supposed to do?
Being unsure of that or where to go, he made up a new identity for himself, Drake Gordon, picked a direction and began walking. He ends up in the city of stiix, a good place to lay low while he figures out what exactly he’s going to do. That’s when he runs into a familiar face.
