If you’re reading this, there are a great many reasons as to why. It means that you were rescued from the vile clutches of the League of Villains, or you escaped using your quick mind and amazing quirk. It means that you are now home, safe and sound, hopefully without a scratch --- at least, any physical maims. It means that you found the letter I gave to your mom to give to you if something were to happen to me. It means, that something did, in fact, happen to me and I’m not there anymore.
It’s amazing isn’t it? Just how far we’ve come in our short lives? It’s easy to forget we’re only 16 sometimes, we’ve been through so much. We’ve already seen so much. And I can’t tell you how proud I am of you, of how much your amazing quirk has grown, and how far you have come. You’re a lot different than the kid you used to be better than me at everything, the kid who would lead a pack of other children into the woods. And yet, I still see that kid in you sometimes, the leader of the pack, the strongest one, the one who is confident and sure of himself no matter what.
I’m glad you’re home. I’m glad you’re safe. I don’t know what I would do with myself if you hadn’t, if you truly had been lost, if it were you who had perished. I don’t know if I could continue, if you’d want me to continue without you. But, luckily we’ll never have to find out.
Luckily, you get to live out your dreams. You get to grow and soar and become the Number One Hero I know you can be. I know because I’ve been seeing it in you since we were kids. I knew you were going to be someone amazing, someone the whole world would have to stop and take notice for.
I’m sorry I won’t be there to see it. I’m also sorry, but there is one more thing I have to tell you, one more thing that I can’t bring myself to be left unsaid.
