Hello. Again. // Sohee & Hyunseung

“Don’t worry, babies. You all will be amazing!” The human said with his loud voice. Oh how that was annoying to her. She always had to remind herself that she needed the money or else she would end up without battery.
“There you are!” His long nails decorated with bright colors waved at her as he walked up to the android. Of course to him she was just another model, the best one they had in years. Her company always felt the need to remind her of how she would go far on the catwalk if she kept doing like that. “You are today’s star! You will be modeling the main outfit, therefor I need you to be 100%, ok baby?”
Baby… Why does he insists on calling me that…?
“Of course I will.” The android wasn’t very fond of the heavy layers of make up the applied to her face, nor the white wing she had to wear that day. The various mirrors spread across the light blue walls, decorated by small circled lights and simple chairs. Each mirror had a table below, which held the most diverse kinds of make up the models used, from lipsticks to foundation, that were used to camouflage whatever could distinguish them from one another; they were nothing but mannequins for the clothes. They were the real attraction.
Sohee never needed much preparation to be considered ready for the catwalk. People would say that as soon as she stepped on it her face would be blank, devoid of all and any expression and she would behave almost as… A robot. Her movements were impeccable, her body would move as perfectly as she was told. There was no sign of who she was, or what she would behave like, at the moment she was nothing more than what they wanted her to be. “That’s why I—Love ya!” His words were louder than the crowd of ladies rushing to get dressed or had their makeup done. It was a world of perfections she decided to live in. No extra pound, no flaw or anything. She had to be perfect. Which was why she had always been so successful with her job.
“Ok, ok! Now let’s get you ready—“

She was ready. The heavy makeup was in place and her hair tightly wrapped in a bow above her head. As she took the first step on the catwalk her system deactivated the expressions, making her face get that blank, almost lifeless, look people used to praise her about. The long and purple fabric she had to wear that night gently involved her body, making her curves and body more visible. She thought, as she turned around and made her way back to the backstage, how perfectly made her body was for humans to never suspect a thing.
It didn’t last long that night. She only went back to the catwalk once before bowing goodbye and telling everyone she was too tired for the party.

The whispers and mumbling about her performance were there again, just right next to her. That was the first time she had met that photographer, he was surprised with how she immersed and did exactly what she was told. No mistake and now flaws could be seen on her poses. The only thing people could say about her was how the girl was a bit cold, a bit distant from the others. It was almost like if she wasn’t like them. Always so professional, never once dating other guys – or girls – she always left as soon as the photoshoot was over. They would only see her working or talking to her manager. He was the only one she would be seen having a conversation that lasted more than a few words. People would say she was hard to approach, always choosing to stay reading, or looking at the screen of her phone.
It was during that photoshoot that she noticed a new face. Someone who stood out of the crowd of humans who all blend so well next to each other. He was… Different. Too flashy for her. Although the android didn’t gaze at him for long before returning to the camera.
