⚖ - Opinions on the fandom your muse blong to?

I don’t really engage in the FF14 fandom or fandom in general too much. I really do stick to like...a bubble. Meaning I don’t really see what the latest talk is or know all the lingo or whatever. It’s kind of a habit from my professional life. Engaging in fandom just makes me frustrated in the end and I don’t really...ehhh. I just want to play a game I like, you know? That said, there’s a lot of people with a lot of opinions on things in the game itself and I’ve always just like...kinda stayed away from discussions regarding that. Things like lore drama and mechanics drama or like. Who the best NPC is... I don’t really like to get involved. Fandom in general is touchy for me. I’ve seen stuff go down in fandoms I’m professionally involved in that is kinda just...needlessly aggressive. Or there’s stuff in fandoms that I’m not involved in that I’ve seen stuff go down in that is needlessly aggressive. I’ve stopped liking things because when the thing is associated with people like...threatening creatives’ lives because the fans disagree with how the production team did something. Just, no. Nope. I’m out. Stuff like that just rubs me the wrong way so I tend to just...avoid all of it and stick to my staring at a screen in silence haha

Where was your character during the Calamity? Did anything happen to them as a result of the Calamity? If not, why not? If so, what’s the worst thing they lost? Do they feel they’ve recovered after the Calamity, or do they feel they’re still picking up the pieces? Do they believe that the Seventh Astral Era has truly begun?

Definitely still back in Kugane working hard as a member of the Sekiseigumi. Hei would not have been affected personally by the Calamity as most of its events happened far from where he was. However, a person that Hei had looked up to and respected had ventured to Eorzea shortly before the Calamity happened and Hei soon found out they had been killed due to it. He’s recovered mostly from the loss, dedicating part of his journeying to them. Hei does not really keep track whether or not he is currently in an Umbral or Astral era as he believes no matter what time and place, the sun is bright and constant and therefore his goal of helping others smile will never change.

First off- surfing, duh. does a lot of physical activity. since he’s very athletic, he tends to get bored very easily, so he’s prone to tapping his feet, drumming his fingers, and stuff like that. also probably has a novelty bong. uses a lot of surfer slang, both ironically and unironically.

blackjin- knows nothing about him, but admires from afar (he’s so cool and edgy!)

grayjin- likes hearing him talk about anime and stuff, but doesn’t have a lot to say himself cause he’s never watched a single anime

He’s basically an overexcited surfer dude, dude! also he laughs like vinesauce joel. i couldn’t find somewhere to put that but its crucial to his character.

💞 What’s their friend group like? What role do they play (leader, mom friend, etc.)?

“Friends?” he repeated the word, “There is no such thing. But I am the leader of the remnants of the Wolf triad. With the Sekiro falling apart under Ichiro’s control, many of the members have left to come to my side. Same with the Aoiro and Ginro who have faced Ichiro’s warpath. I am their leader, not their friend.”

🌙 Which D&D class would they play as? and 💫 What’s their favorite expletive?

OOC answer! Koko and I were working on a d&d campaign. I think...monk or shifter?? Is what was being talked about. Shifter goes along with some of the current development for him but monk worked for our two person campaign set up. As for his favorite expletive... Probably “Fuck” I think he says it a lot? Or dammit. He curses a lot under his breathe or in his head. It’s like his internal monologue is expletives mainly. He needs some manners...

Thornmarch, The Royal Menagerie, and Emanation

Thornmarch - What would be your character’s opening dialogue(s) upon the start of the battle?

“So..This is how it must be…I did not want to fight you. But you leave me no choice…”

Hei draws his blade.

“Let’s go!”

The Royal Menagerie - Describe your OC’s techniques or special attacks that the party will have to avoid or be cautious dealing with 

Phoenix Wings: A large burst of flame emanates from Hei’s blade, causing raid wide damage that must be healed and mitigated

Conflagration: A three hit aoe slash around Hei that must be dodged in sequence depending on AOE markers

Hissatsu: Yami Barai: Hei targets the farthest player, and lunges towards them with a flame embued slash, the tank must be the furthest person targeted otherwise it will be an instant kill.

Hissatsu: Oni Yaki: Hei focuses for a moment before releasing a circular slash around him, the party is advised to get away from him the moment he begins charging.

Hissatsu: Totsuka: Hei sheathes his blade before charging and focusing his aether upon it before it is released and strikes whomever he is aggroed towards. The attack will do massive damage and must be mitigated. A tank swap is also necessary as it will put a physical vulnerability debuff upon the tank struck.

Emanation - Name someone else’s OC you would like to see as a trial boss. Be sure to tag them
