(pokes my head in and looks around real furtively) yall read for the schloss hennenberg soft launch?
i was cautious about dipping my toes in this arena because the lafossa cybdee era isnt "done." that is, it has no concrete conclusion. i have ideas, but nothing totally concrete. so as the lafossa story changes, so will the schloss. the long and short of it is that these twos story will NOT end with languishing in a dying city state forever. they will end up up north. and this is what they will look like
the name of the game is this: orchidees outfit is an elevated version of her deerwood garb. seelies outfit is focused more on dignity. they look like more of an actual member of society than they ever have
everything else coming up on the menu is expository stuff. got some more outfit babydolls on the horizon. after that, some lore about wanpyrs and scarification. i think im also going to redesign gwydion

A: yes. they did
sort of a spiritual successor to the meadow piece from 2023. not much to say about this one! even when seelie is billy badassing it up in grauheim, give them five minutes of off time and theyll still be clinging to their yewnee-corn
okay so i didnt have any other pics planned and this has been knocking around in my head for a while, so might as well get it out of the way
in a modern au, i think these twos story would be kind of a jennifers body/ginger snaps/lisa frankenstein kind of vibe. a kinda funny, kinda gorey, kinda freaky summer movie. a-hem hem:
a long time ago, it was once believed that unicorns could perform necromancy. but in the year 2004, necromancy has been banned for so long that no one believes in it anymore. orchidee ordelaffi is the new exchange student at deerwood high, and quickly starts a new fling with cybele, whos family is hosting her for the year. so when cybele dies gruesomely during summer vacation, orchidee uses a strange book the two of them found in an abandoned house to resurrect them. she doesnt do it right the first time, or the second, or the third, but after a long series of humane slaughters and resurrections, she finally brings cybele back as someone who can sort of behave in public. raising the dead was one thing, but the hardest part for these two will be convincing their classmates at deerwood high why they came back so… different
i imagine edelweiss in this au doesnt let orchidee dress alternative when she goes abroad, so she shows up wearing hollister and then spends some of her dads inheritance buying half the stuff from the malls hot topic. my favorite part of this is the transition from orchidee teasing her hair in a scene queen way to teasing it in a tradgoth bats nest way. and also that she teases and straightens her tail. in this au, too, pre-death cybele can be called truly and authentically grunge because they came by their clothes via hand me downs and goodwill, and not catering to a specific aesthetic
in the trailer for this movie, an unsuspecting and supportive tyche places a hand on a trembling orchidees shoulder after the first failed resurrection and tells her, i can hear the sounds from the basement, but dont worry. im not mad. just use protection. cue orchidee: "…… uh huh……"
