so this file is nearing a year old and im just now realizing it but uh... i dont think i ever posted the finished version?

this was done for the mtny yule zine that came out round the holidays last year. i wanted to draw chise and alice spreading new years joy to some cheeky lil kappas. that snow looks very inviting given how hot its been here!

in scandinavian folklore, a huldra or hulder is a forest spirit whose name means "secret," defined by her hollow back and cows tail. she may look like a pretty human, but you can tell shes one of the forest folk by the twitching tail under her dress!

my oc, the huldra, is my favorite one to draw and i love her to bits. i decided to make a doll of her, and am so happy with how she turned out! in my version, her cows tail is replaced with a vine that sprouts from her hollow back, and it can grow all kinds of fruits and flowers. for this doll, shes growing lavender.

the huldra is made of felt and yarn. her facial details are sculpey, and parts of her are embroidered. the beads in her feet, strategic embroidery, and the counterweight of her long posable tail means that she can stand by herself. her arms are also posable! i hope you like her as much as i do 🌱💞
