▌ ▲▐ ───── Deftly she let her legs swing back and forth as she enjoyed the vantage of her perch. A dying tree, one she had held favor over as it stood upon the property of her designer’s home. From here the huntress could see much, view the twinkling lights of the city as night grew near. She enjoyed coming here sometimes, when she had nowhere else to be and boredom struck. Call it stalking, or perhaps a claim of territory, but she felt at home here, nearby to man she hated so truly it almost let her feel.
And now that man was gone. A fitting end, and yet in some capacity she mourned.
A hum resonated from her vocal modulator, low and soft. Her eyes fell to the child before the plastic Golem that served as a replacement of her creator. Caine never understood why Damon has seen fit to keep the thing save for paternal instinct. Still just an animal after all, no different from the million roaming the earth brainless and self-obsessed. Zombies marching apathetic towards their death. This small creature would soon follow.
“If you don’t want it, I know someone that would be far more grateful for the opportunity of fatherhood.” A jest, though Caine did truly wonder if she brought the Lieutenant a child what his reaction would be. Morally, he would seek the owner - father, she had to remind herself. Legal guardian - of the boy and return him to his rightful home. But emotionally, would he be drawn? Would it remind him of Cole? They weren’t that far off in age, after all.

It hadn’t taken long to find the right alley. Constant updates from Amanda and feeds from security cameras had made it easy to triangulate the street the attack had taken place on. It had been a single call from Mr Heidrich’s housekeeper, concerned that her employer had yet to return home, that had alerted Cyberlife enough to deploy RK900 to track down the head of programming.
When RK900 had wirelessly tapped in and traced the security camera’s in the area the man was last seen, it would seem the housekeeper had been right to worry.
The echo of his footfalls against the alley walls seem too loud in it’s oddly lit dampness. Walls catching an almost hazy reflection of the neon lights and advertisements across the street. Casting an odd glow on the darkness. RK900′s interface flashing with information. Reading the seen of a struggle. An ambush. Light over his shoulder glinting and illuminating a spatter of fluid on the ground.
BLOOD: (....HUMAN. )
It’s only the vitals scan that tell RK900 that Heidrich is still alive...it would be no ones fault for believing him to be dead on first glance, such is the state of him. Beaten. Sprawled and slumped. Face unrecognizable beneath the blood. RK900 is over to him in a few quick, long quick strides. Triangle on his breast and stripe on his arm glowing against the white of his uniform. LED on his temple fluttering a quick tempo of yellow as he crouches down. Immediately running checks and scans over the man. Shrugging off his jacket and placing it over him. Extra warmth to help stop him going into a more severe shock.

ATTACKED FROM BEHIND
When Heidrich attempted to sit up, a synthetic hand was placed carefully but firmly on his chest. RK900 trying to half support the man and half prevent him from getting up. ‘It’s best if you try to move as little as possible, Mr Heidrich. I’ve already alerted the emergency services, they should be here shortly. Word has been sent to your housekeeper that you’ve been found. Please try to keep still. ’

3.Your muse suddenly grips my muse’s hair.
The attention of blue eyes were momentarily caught toward the opposite side of the large wall of glass that offered viewing in and out of one of Cyberlife’s large diagnostic stations. RK900′s steel colored gaze following the Deviant he had incapacitated and brought in. Technicians either side of it. Thirium leaking from a wound at it’s forehead.

RK900′S expression scrunched into a wince, the fingers in his hair….unexpected. The android’s head suddenly and rather roughly yanked by the dark synthetic strands atop of it. Neck forced to arch slightly. RK900′s head angled to one side by the grip. Apparently he hadn’t responded to the man’s words quick enough. Body reacting like a human’s would even though he couldn’t really feel the pain behind the move. Only registering discomfort and the spike of aggression in the action. The high collar of a dark shirt digging into his neck. Hand flying up to grab hold of the wrist that had fingers coiled in his hair. The reaction automatic as his LED swirled instantly to a vibrant red. Indicators jumping up onto his interface as pale eyes snapped to Heidrich.

▌ ▲▐ ───── The truth which spilled from those viper lips was undeniable even when he, the former deviant hunter, wished to forget. Just like the rest of his people who were created for a PURPOSE, a design gilded in golden shackles. Prisoners of their manufacture, yet they had escaped those humans which had once been oppressors, now seeking to join in friendship with outstretched hands to seek a common ground.
Oppressors not unlike himself, the tainted deviant who carried his guilt like original sin. He had no right to ask the same as the others, for he was no equal to his people. But Connor wanted to prove that he was more than the sum of his parts, more than what he was built to be. If men like Damon refused to see them as such it mattered little, for the tide had turned and the age of man was coming to an end.
A new age was being born, one of man and machine in tandem. Interlinked.
“Your opinions on the matter don’t mean anything, Mr. Heidrich,” the android retorted, though his voice was deceptively calm, even lucid. Yet his eyes were sharp, almost cold even though he regarded the man with a sense of pity. Blinded, he would never see them for what they were and for that Connor felt sorry for him. “CyberLife created me, but someone else brought me to L I F E.” Whatever made this man what he was, he was too far gone to save. Even if he were not, it wasn’t Connor’s job to save him. Heidrich would have to do it himself, if he cared to.
The android DOUBTED he would have the care to. “I know you don’t have the capacity to understand that, and it doesn’t matter if you do.” Neither did he, not at all. ”I am alive.” Connor didn’t care what this man thought. “I don’t belong to you.”

- cont. from this -
It was the very surprise for Daniel, after all, to interlace with a human, as he wanted to avoid it as often as possible. He was through with people, their egoism, their stupidity and their lack of understanding for certain things. They feel threatened by whatever they can not understand, warring themselves in their beliefs and knowledge. They are horrible beings. Or at least that's what the android wanted to think and believe to himself. His bad experience with humans was shaped by his own family when he has been deceived and ... did this deed. The caretaker never talked to anyone about it nor trusted anyone after all these events, just because Daniel did not know anyone else, not even other deviants.
Though it astonished the domestic assistant a bit that this human could identify with the words of the lost hope, or at least the statement was right to him.
“The others still have a will, a reason to cling to that hope. Hope has no place for those who have nothing.” Daniel growled a little. He did not identify himself like the other deviants, he was alone and although he did not want to, he preferred his own loneliness, at least until some time before he could allow other people in his life. But Damon ... he stepped into his life unintentionally. The blonde was skeptical and careful, he did not want to tell the other man too much. “If you experienced death and betrayal. you hit another life path. I support my brothers and sisters, but I can not be with them. I was built without knowing the feeling of hate or anger and now nothing else is going through my mind. By the fault of the people I once trusted. You say you met and experienced the behavior of us deviants, then you would understand what most of us had to go through. And who caused our suffering? Humans.”
There was a hint of a glare that had been shot towards Damon by Daniel’s clear blue eyes as his stare averted, inhaled a deep synthetic breath he actually didn’t need. “Suffering is all we get in this world.”
