I also ADOOORE the post reboot concept for managing to be even more fucked up than being able to order them to destruct with the legionizing- with the cyberization fail-safe that paralyzes the victim
(Lol at how T.B. stops gushing and looks horrified when I'd still be reacting the same way as her in the first two panels, even harder after seeing that actually bdsnbddksbgk)
I fucking love this moment and how cold Eggman is for doing something so sick and cruel just because the foreman failed him by being duped. I love it even more for how he doesn't care to remember his name because he's not worthy, messes and teases him because I like it when he finds sadistic enjoyment in it, and gives him a punishment so severe he's totally unable to move and escape the agony he puts him through. He's lost total control of his body, it's totally in his hands now, and he'll be alive and have to suffer with it alive but unmoving for about 50 years.
But really it just serves as a warning to the others of what will become of them if they fail Eggman and a reminder that he already belonged to him as part of the Egg Army and didn't have the freedom to fail him in the first place and for that he needs to be punished, so now the foreman js literally physically trapped and lacking all freedom and Eggman owns and controls him and can do as he pleases without him being able to resist or put up a fight. And that he did, as it was implied that he was used as a test subject for the roboticizer while helpless to verbally or physically refuse god DAMN
It's another great example of how, while he can and will kill without care or even find pleasure in it as he says, and ordering for them to explode like with the legionization can be dark, keeping people alive can be just as horrible if not worse with his cruel treatment towards them in ways such as this. It's just like how he also isn't less evil for not simply wanting to completely destroy the world and immediately kill everyone in it and have that be it. He can make people wish that he'd just kill them with the living hell he'll put them through.
On the flip side, I also don't understand people saying that this is too evil or fucked up for him. First of all, the more the better XD and second of all- he's never been implied to have any moral based limits to stop him from doing extremely dark shit like this and had done many different things that are just as dark that are just downplayed and overlooked in the games, so I can absolutely see game Eggman doing something like this too. This is horrifying and sadistic and that's my kind of Eggman! 😍💜💘
